*edit*
Also, you do not fall under their terms. It says you are eligible for a refund if the problem was on their end. And as far as I know it wasn't. I watched teh finals with no stream problems at all. So any problems were with your connection to gom and not gom's streaming. So, obviously since YOU didn't have problems NO ONE had problems. Your ignorance astounds me that you even tried posting something trying to give advice with retarded information.
OP: Yes 1.50 means nothing... They sell a service, and you do not receive service. Yes you should be refunded or at the very least, REPLIED back to why they don't want to refund you. That way you can post another forum post telling how GOM screwed you.

I think it's pretty much the contrary. If nobody from Europe buys tickets because it just doesn't work, they might have a good reason to improve their network. If people keep buying tickets while it lags, they have no reason to improve it.
Imo, it's like any service, as long as nobody complains, nothing evolves.
Also, agree with OP, even if 1.50€ is nothing, it's just for the principle.

I like GomTV service but whenever GSL final comes the stream becomes very choppy, I always have to watch from restreams which they keep closing vigilantly. Also GomTV stream always dies from time to time and I have to restart their media player several times.
I hope GomTV increases the quality of their service and you get your money back.

honestly i would not worry about it, i assume that soooooo many people were watching that it was just a connection problem, if you want gomtv to get better stuff for streams then let them keep the dollar fifty, if lets say 10000 people (low estimate) pay the dollar fifty, thats 15000 for them, not only does that go towards buying new stuff for a better watching experince for all, it helps esports and the sc2 tournament scene.
after all you see whats starleague still does so well, they have to compete with that.
personally i've bought both season one and 2 with the off season discount. so for $20 i can watch every vod from the ro64 till the finals, for both seasons. even if i watch 2 matches a day, that ends up to be extremely cheap (ends up to less than 10 cents an hour) and at that price, who cares about the hd stream

No. Im sure "roblems for more than one hour" means if they have problems on their end an example would be the boxer effect or if they ran out room and you couldnt connect. Not if your internet connection cannot sustain the stream at what you would consider satisfactory.

I've never been able to connect to the standard quality stream, so they don't seem like a company I want to be giving money to. But that's just my view on it.

Definitely don't just let GomTV take your money. I'm not sure why people are suggesting that you just forget about it. Since I live in the US, I haven't had any problem at all with the stream or the Vods. But the only way their service will get better is if they are getting feedback about their users. Simply giving them free money doesn't help anyone. But at the same time, give them some time before you start bashing their customer service. Wait for their reply before openly complaining about their corporate greed.
It has only been 2 months since they started the GSL. So far, the stream quality and stability, and VOD quality and stability have improved incredibly since the first few days of GSL 1. This was definitely a response to the user complaints of lag and quality. GomTV is one of the rare companies that do listen to their users. I would be very surprised if GomTV weren't already investigating the European lag issues.

I bought a 1-day ticket during GSL 1 finals while the site was lagging, and while the paypal payment went through, I never actually got the ticket in my account. I wrote support, and they didn't seem to understand that I did not get what I paid for, at all. This was my ticket, I of course included transaction IDs, account name, etc.
I bought the 1 day live ticket for today before the grand final started, and even though I received a confirmation from paypal, the premium HQ stream has not been unlocked for me and does not show up in my purchase history.
Could you please unlock HQ for the remainder of the grand final, or offer me a refund. Their response was:
We checked you account under the email ... It shows that you are well verified to use our website. The payment history shows like the following. Attached was a payment history that DID NOT show the day of the grand finals, that I actually paid for.
I didn't bother arguing about it though since it was only 2$ but it certainly left a bad impression. This thread just reminded me about it.
Edit: They responded within 2 days btw.

I know you all don't agree with what I said, but he does not qualify for a refund. Again I ask, did you run the stream test before making a purchase? If you didn't run the test then Gom has no need to refund your money, because it would be YOUR FAULT that you wasted your money and not theirs.

you know what, you shouldn't tell the OP to step down because it's just "$1" it's a service. these "$1" summed up probably equal some thousands of dollars for them. i would rather just send them $5 through paypal in the name of 'esports support' than to buy a service for $0.10 and not get what I paid for.
I'm actually in the same situation as the OP. I bought a 1-day ticket and couldn't connect to the stream. Not because of my connection, but something was wrong in their end, since everythign else on the internet was working for me at the time. I e-mailed them and got no reply for 7 days. I sent another e-mail and it took them another couple days to reply, saying they would process my refund. That was 2-3 days ago and still nothing happened.
I won't die if I don't get this refund, but it shows a good load of incompetence on their part. From the minute they decided to SELL the stream worldwide, they should have prepared to deal with people from all parts of the world.

They prepared for this by saying "YOU HAVE TO RUN THIS STREAM TEST AND BANDWIDTH TEST TO VERIFY THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY VIEW THIS STREAM WITHOUT ANY ISSUES" so obviously if you pass the stream test (Which is streaming from the same server) you should have no issues. Nobody in this thread has yet said they have even taken the stream test, let alone pased.

OP, I'm not sure about their return policy, but as you watched an illegal restream of the content, should you really ask for your money back? I'd see you having a principle issue if you weren't able to watch the finals live, but since you did (albeit not in the way you paid for), why are you bothering beyond posting feedback on their forums?
I did the same, though with a season pass. I watched all the other games in the VOD format, but tried to stream the finals, weren't able to do so because of the horrible lag, so I watched a restream - I didn't feel bad for watching the restream because I'd already paid for it.
Hopefully they'll fix it for next season.

Have you read my post at all? I said I couldn't CONNECT to their servers, not that my connection couldn't play the stream. It would just say I was under a firewall or something like that and not let me connect.
And just for the record, it was the 2nd time I bought the 1-day ticket. The first time it was the SlayersBoxer vs Nada match, and it worked perfectly.
edit-Also I took and passed the test on their site. It would be idiotic not to do it before buying the ticket.

So by your own admission the problem was on your end and not theirs. You couldn't connect to their server because of a firewall on your router or with your ISP or some other issue with your computer. That error is not caused by anything on their end, but by your computer. Don't blame GomTV for not having your computer set up right to allow their program to stream to you.
Example, did you try restarting your computer? Did you do any troubleshooting? Did you check Gom's forums for help with this issue?

@aike
at first you demonstrate your knowledge about Internet connections (or the lack of it) and now you still try to prove your point?
I have a 100Mbit Up and 10Mbit Down constant Internet connection at home, i can use other services like esl.tv or MLG without problems
i bet most Europeans who are willing to pay money for watching Starcraft games will have a good up to a very good Internet connection. The bandwidth test will prove this in hours where nothing big is going on. ( i have gotten very good results from the checker, full bar and so on) But these tests are mostly taken while no streaming is going on. My theory (which is probably the truth) is that there is just not enough bandwidth for Europe at the moment, so it fills up and chokes very fast.
Seems to me that GOM invested more money in America than Europe which is why you are able to make ignorant posts.

You have a 100Mbit Up and 10Mbit down constant internet connection... to your ISP. The speed your ISP tells you isn't the speed you connect to various servers around the world. So your speed from ISP is irrelevant. Did you run the speed test AND the HQ stream test? If you believe the problem is with Gom's European servers and not your ISPs, try using a proxy server in the US and connect to Gom's live stream and see if it works any better.

I'm curious, how long has it been since you contected them in the first place, Shockk?

This happened me on the first match of GSL Season 1, but EVERYONE had that experience so they were forced to give me a refund. I really don't see the point of making a thread about it though. You should have just bought a season ticket and watched the HQ VoD like I do.
