I'm voting for NaDa because his macro is godly, and probably NaDa vs HopeTorture for the finals. Not sure who would win that, but I'm rooting for NaDa!
A week ago I would have said Boxer, but NaDa impressed me more in the Ro32 and Ro16 so I think he'll take it. Either way I'll be rooting for the winner to take it all. There is nothing that would make my day more than Boxer or NaDa taking the championship.
should really make the thread title with a big ass NADA VS BOXER hype, who gives a rat ass about spoiler its even on the TL calendar already, spread the word and hype hype hype!!!!!
i think a better question is, which of these 2 legends will have a better shot at winning the whole tournament? boxer would have a much bigger impact on the e-sport scene if he got to the finals so i hope he wins, but really its a damn hard choice to choose for this...
i suppose we should all just enjoy the epic-ness that is about to ensue.
I think Nada is better over all, but Boxer's TvT is sooo good. This is gonna be a crazy match. Very glad its a Bo5. Super happy both players have made S-class so we'll be seeing them next year as well. But best of all is the fact that, no matter who wins, we get a Bonjwa in the Semis. Which means there is an excellent chance we could have Boxer or Nada in the finals, or even taking the whole thing. That would be HUGE for SC2's development and popularity.
As for the other matches...
NesTea is really, really good at ZvZ. I think he takes that one.
Foxer is impressing me more and more, and I think he wins over Kyrix.
HopeTorture vs. Genius is a really, really good matchup. Too extremely solid macro players. Should be fun. I think Genius will win, but that could just be my Toss bias speaking.
My ideal finals matches would be either...
Genius vs. Nada (the Genius Terran). Who is the biggest genius? Boxer vs. Foxer. There can only be one!
wow, I have the feeling that it's almost 50/50 Very hard to decide, Nada has a better lategame i suppose but boxer really can mess with nada so much in early-mid game...
I'll say Boxer 2-1 with mind blowing aggressive builds

If FakeBoxeR beat BoxeR....it'm pretty sure Jesus will return the following day as the Earth burns at his coming.
Foxer > Kyrix 2-0 Genius > Rainbow 2-1 Zenio > Nestea 2-1 (could go either way really, zenio's an overall better zerg but I'm not sure about zvz) Nada> Boxer 2-1

i believe its Bo5 series for quarter finals onward...
Fuck Boxer vs Nada. I'm eagerly waiting for Zenio vs NesTea, both of which ZvZ'd at the ro16. This will be huge.
And there is a huge probability that fake boxer will do better than the real one. But still, KyrixZenith proved himself to be a solid opponent against Terran players.
nexgenius vs hopetorture is one hell of a match. foxer vs kyrix sounds very interesting aswell. and ofc, the fan favorite match, boxer vs nada. omfg. but imho nada will take it rather easily. his fundamentals looked way better than boxers so far imho.
but on the other hand, boxer´s tvt skills today vs loner were far better than i had expected, so who knows?
Thank god its NOT the final. I mean, they're great players sure, but mirrors are so boring, especially TvT with the Viking/Tank wars.
TvT hasn't been Tank/Viking wars in a while, since like patch 1.1
I mean, you still see it occasionally, but it is far from the only direction the match can take. For example, the Marine/Banshee/Raven timing push that abuses PDD has become very popular.
Its the best mirror by far IMO (unfortunately, I'm stuck playing Toss, where the mirror is generally a "who can make more Colossi off one base" contest).
Boxer got this. He will bulldog his way with proxies, hidden base within base, building canceling mind fucking tech switches and lose the whole fucking base into victory.
On a more serious note, Boxer has demonstrated incredible micro play and strong awareness of timing in the round of 64 and incredibly solid TvT in round of 16 against Loner.
Nada's macro ability is top tier, the same can be said for his timing.
Has anyone really stopped to consider these matches?
Foxer has played brilliantly (except Ro64 which was a wash) and is a devastating TvZ threat while Kyrix is the Zerg to beat of the remaining 3.
Genius vs. ITR!?!?!? That game will be absurdly good as long as ITR doesn't take the day off (like last finals). Oh my goodness, Genius is IMBA and ITR can beat anyone spectacularly on any given day.
Nestea vs Zenio is the only thing approaching a "weak" match, but we are talking ZergBong vs the OGS allstar Zenio. It will be dynamic and interesting for sure.
And of course... The TornadoTerran vs the Emperor. Oh man. Nada's play is mechanically flawless and even superior to Boxer's, but will the man who changed BW have his creativity shine again? I can't imagine this match being anything less than bone-crushingly intense.

Pull a NEXGenius and blink stalker into his base. :D
I'm rooting for the last protoss to make it to the final.
I think Genius and Zenio are quite a lot better than their opposition. Kyrix could be an upset given the very aggressive style against Foxer's also aggressive style.
Nada Boxer could go either way but I see it somewhat stalemating early and Nada winning on macro in a longer game.
Edited for Bo5 games.
Edit2: Interesting to see the race balance here actually. The Ro4 I think will be 1-1-2 (possibly 1 Zerg 3 Terran like last time, veyr unlikely to be 2-2 Zerg Terran) which is the best race distribution we can hope for.
Nada's macro is going to destroy Boxer. NaDa has really good game sense. I honestly think NaDa will win 3-0.
Other games I think will be:
Rainbow Kyrix Zenio
The match I am most looking forward to watching is FauxeR vs Kyrix. Both are hyper aggressive, so it should be interesting to watch.

Did you watch Nada vs Leenock? NaDa's TvZ is siiiiiiiiiick.
I kind of want Kyrix to win ... that aggressive Zerg style makes for the best games to watch (as does Foxer's aggressiveness). Could be really fun watching Nada deal with it.
I've yet to see either of those players do anything exceptional. they've had poor opponents thus far and basically won just by not sucking... loners games were particularly dissapointing and one-sided, a lot like last GSL's finals.
Lol @ the poll 49% to 51%. It's about to be an amazing game definitely looking forward to it. I'll take Boxer 3-2 over Nada. For the finals after seeing Foxer beat out FruitDealer I really want to see a Foxer vs Boxer
i like how the post is 50/50 right now plus if u go to check on the calender of nov and look at the date when boxer vs nada is both of their name are bold lol
It truly is a tossup, I think early game it's Boxer's to win and if Nada manages to get to macro mode harassment free he'll take the games. Just hope it goes to Game 5 they both deserve it.
I hope we get a "Nada vs Boxer" poll just like the JvF one. Maybe TL staff already have this planned and are just giving people time to watch the vods =p
Haha the pool had 244-243 in favour of Nada. Then I clicked BoxeR by accident, and it became 244-245.
I honestly can't decide though. The only reason I prefer Nada is because he is (relatively speaking) the lesser known of the two players. Yes, he is the most successful BW player by almost any margin results-wise. But BoxeR is synonymous with SC in the mind of every fan, even those of SC2. I feel it would be good to bring more exposure to the old BW greats. Along with Tester, Sangho, Clare ... oh wait
I don't know who to cheer for. I am seriously, torn, between the two. Go both (eep, first time in a while I've been on the fence). (hehehe, voted nada for the perfect 300-300)
I can't decide between the two. I'm a fanboy of both and extremely excited that they're both gonna be Code S players come the regular seasons. This will be a very big match and it's now more likely that one of them might end up being a finalists!
Obviously Nada. Boxers been inactive for so long as a semi-coach / semi-player who doesn't play while Nada was still on the Wemade A team before switching over.
Tasteless and Artosis: "BOXER VS. NADA??!! WHAT??!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! It's gonna be so awesome!!!! Who made these brackets? This is madness! AAaaaaa!!"
In a way this is good. We can't lose both boxer and nada. One of them is safely in round of 4.
But they can't both be
How epic would it be if boxer won the whole tournament? Just thinking about it makes me so horny!
The brackets were made this way so the bonjwas would be most likely to play each other (easiest group) rather than miss each other. It also ensures that at least one of them makes the semifinals.
Does anyone know who the winner faces? (which matchup they will be paired against in the brackets)

I was gonna boxer auto-vote until I saw NADA. I watch the game last night and I cried because why did it have to be Loner vs Boxer. I wanted loner to make it..
I voted for Nada because if boxer wins and loses to foxer, the end of the world will come true and the devil will walk out of the internet and announce our end in 2012.
Loner vs Genius grudge-match ending would've been sick and loner wins to avenge himself for blizzcon but loner been performing pretty badly.
I want NaDa to take this and zenio lose because he would make us foreigners look bad.
Kyrix is super fucking underrated vs terran. Terran really doesn't know how to deal with his hyper-aggressive style. You guys seriously think he can't take out Foxer when he took out ENSNARE?

Ensnare > Foxer IMO.
You could just as easily turn that around and say,
"You seriously think Foxer can't take out Kyrix when he took out FRUITDEALER?"
They've both got some impressive wins, and in fact they got the same way--by being consistently aggressive in unorthodox ways their opponents weren't prepared for.
They're both damn good, IMO, and either could win.
I think Nada has the more rounded play currently. He showed insane micro and macro already. Going with Nada, but who knows Boxer might whip out some insane cheese. : )

I agree.
Kyrix is certainly a dark horse who shouldn't be taken lightly.
The poll is absolutely right! They'll keep drawing and postpone the tournament for several days. It will be tied 2-2:
Game 5: BoxeR all ins and kills Nada's base. Nada lifts off. Boxer lost all his SCVs and just has marines left.
Game 6: Map is mined out. Island expos are last with any resources. Nada kills most of Boxer's bases except Boxer's island, which is mined out. It's surrounded by missile turrets and Nada can't get enough gas to brute force an air attack into it.
Game 7: Nada kills Boxer's main but Boxer snuck a banshee sniping all of Nada's SCVs. Nada tries to get an ebay up in time but the scv keeps getting sniped. Boxer rebuilds behind some rocks. Nada pounds it down and decimates everything. Boxer lifts off again. The lone banshee kills Nada's remaining troops but Nada lifts off as well!
etc. etc. etc.
It'll be like that tennis match which went over a 100 sets or something...

Its a 5 game series..so everyone of these predictions are false.
Part of the reason the poll is so even is that you can see the current results BEFORE you vote.
I'm sure it'd be an extremely close poll regardless - but I doubt it'd be THIS close.
I'm sad there's only one Protoss in the RO8 - so I'm definitely rooting for NEXGenius against HopeTorture. Out of BoxeR vs. NaDa - I don't really know who to support - match'll be epic enough without bias.
I wish they released free vods though - I'm not getting my comp back til the tenth, so I won't be able to watch =(
All that said - my dream final would be NEXGenius vs. NaDa/BoxeR.

Good point. Although I don't think ensnare made any blunders where fruitdealer made huge ones, but a win is a win. Either way this will be a great match.
Oh man, think if someone had told you a few months ago that that there would be a Boxer vs Nada SC2 match in the round of 8 of a tournament with a first place prize of $87,000 in October. There's no way I would have believed them.
I'm so pleased with how awesome things have been going. Whoever wins, will be a great match up! And I look forward to watching it!
Zergbong and fake Boxer have also been an excellent surprises this season. I'm sure we'll have an exciting conclusion!
Nestea vs TheWind was a pretty boring 2 games of zvz. The first one was actually kind of good though because seriously.... who goes hatch first then opens roaches on blistering sands and still wins? I just want to see some 30 minute ZvZs and hopefully Zenio and Nestea will supply them.
I'm rooting for BoxeR against Nada just because Boxer made Loner look like an average NA ladder diamond player.

So true, but I do think it'll be ridiculously close. I can't help but think that Boxer's crazy micro and weird timing pushes might just catch Nada off guard though.
NaDa versus Boxer is going to be a very difficult match to call, but my liquibet will be for NaDa purely because I feel his superior macro will pull through in the end over Boxer's while competent macro style, clearly more micro focused play. However NaDa also has many micro tricks and unique plays up his sleeve I'm sure. I actually think longer games will favor Boxer over NaDa because while NaDa's macro may be superior Boxer's ability to do significant damage through minor holes in his opponent's defenses. In other words the longer the game goes while NaDa may out-produce Boxer he will have more opportunities to make mistakes for Boxer to exploit.
Although back in SCBW days Boxer and Nada had a very even record against each other, Boxer had said several times that he was very confident in TvT against Nada in particular. I still remember their last individual league encounter on Requiem when Boxer beated Nada with a timing tank push.
I think Boxer will enter this match with highest level of confidence. When the Emperor's confident, he pulls off incredible things
Gotta love the internet. This poll started out favoring NaDa for a while, and then it started to approach 50/50.....and now everyone who votes just votes for what will keep it at 50/50.
epic epic poll. statistical likelihood of them actually literally being dead even is so small... then again, i think both are awesome so i only voted based on who had less votes
having watched them both tvt this gsl I'd say nada is better. I think most of their matches will just be nada taking more and more map while containing boxer.
I want Boxer to win. Don't really want any of them to be out yet, but that's not an option unfortunately, so i WANT Boxer to win. But I think Nada will win, he has just shown better play and mechanics imo.
you guys do understand that top one 8 showing doesn't GUARANTEE s-class right?? they changed their policies. they are going to take the top 32 players when combining performance in ALL THREE gsl seasons and then give out the class designations. if boxer loses here and then has a poor showing in next GSL there is no guarantee he will get S class.
Just like BW, NaDa will out do Boxer in everyway, should be an awesome show down between two unique players. Genius Terran will dismantle the Emperor with overwhelming macro.
Can't believe both players have exactly the same amount of votes at the time of my post. I'm voting for NaDa, he has just been rock-solid so far. But it's (hopefully) gonna be really, really close.
On October 30 2010 10:44 Imbajoe wrote: I don't follow much pro SC2, but can someone tell which Zerg left in the tournament has the best chance of winning?
Most likely Zenio. He showed some impressive play vs MVP (even tho he had random blackouts) and a strong ZvZ.
KyrixZenith is hyperagressive and sometimes just odd and unpredictable. Foxer vs Kryix may end up to be very entertaining because both of them are very aggressive and direct.
As for Boxer vs Nada...I like Boxer just a tiny bit more and wish him success. However Nada's macro is impressive at the very least and at the same time he is very experienced and more than capable to handle all sort of tactics Boxer may throw at him.
But it would be a big mistake to underestimate the Emperor because so far a lot of people kept saying almost every round that he will either lose or be in big problems but so far he steamrolled trough his opponents (yes, even Loner) without much trouble.
In the end it all comes down to one fundamental issue:
NaDa has probably shown a more solid play so far in the GSL but on the other hand Boxer just crushed his opponents and didn't get the opportunity to show what he really is made of. Looking forward to this match, alot. Think it will be 3-2 in favor of Boxer doing something really funky that's catching NaDa off guard in one of the games.
I vote for Nada cuz he just go imba maccro but im rooting for teh emperor of course
Oh and btw the 50/50 happen a lot on sc1 poll when two monster face each other (Jaedong vs Flash for example) but u have to notice that all tl communauty are huge fan of boxer and each time he play on sc1 when we know that he will loose or is really far behind his opponent he got massive vote on poll cuz he is legend ^^
On October 30 2010 10:46 Fa1nT wrote: It just went +3 for nada, meaning I guess people are just voting to keep it the same :/
You must have not seen a Jd v Flash poll. A large chunk of each players fans absolutely hate the other guy and would never vote for them to even things out, yet they are often withint 1% of eachother.
I've been so impressed with both these guys during the GSL. Boxer's play is so organic compared to others; same with Nada, tho Nada feels more stable and less creative. Their SC1 experience shines thro, I think.
Boxer's strength is in his timing and micro; he can do so much with so little, and he is always attacking. But Nada's game is a solid macro style, and he seems stronger the longer the game progresses. I have not seen any of Boxer's games go into late game yet, so I don't know how well Boxer's timings and micro will work. If Nada is solid enough to survive until he can get more bases up that Boxer (I think he can), he will probably win.
This will be such a good match. Such a close call. I think I have to give Nada the slight advantage, but I voted for Boxer because gawd he's such a badass.
This match is going to be amazing no matter who wins, but I'm not a fan of Boxer's recent complaints about how terribly weak Terran is so I'll go with Nada.
are people voting to even out or on who they actually think will win? this is freaking amazing everytime i look at the poll its dead even or off by a couple
i think BoxeR has the better TvT. I really like his TvT style and he seems harass-proof and has better timing. Whereas Nada seems vulnerable still to early pressure that Genius / Foxer / Rainbow will/might do.
I voted BoxeR because my body wouldn't allow me otherwise but I do feel like NaDa has a really good chance at taking it. Either way the games will be incredible and will certainly be the death of the series of tubes we call the Interwebs.
I think there is definitely something funny about this poll, it might be fixed lol.
Yeah someone definitely doing something to this poll it's been dead even all the way through, even though it seems like at least a slight majority of posters favor Nada. Maybe I'm full crazy though.
I feel like Nada is the better player. He's extremely good with unit control but also in his macro. Boxer is really amazing at micro but his macro is terrible. I voted boxer on accident -.-
Wow, the poll just shows how awesome Nada and Boxer is. As for me, I think Nada vs Boxer games will be quite long and entertainment games since they both want to please the fans. Boxer will take this 3-2 :D or 3-1
I think Nada has had more meaningful experience in TvT and his macro should pull him through unless Boxer can really get a big edge through micro in the early game.
Zenio vs NesTea, another super high level ZvZ, hopefully we see one of them figure out a safer build we can all copy :3
Love how the votes are 50/50. NaDa has a bit better macro I guess but I've noticed that Boxer does also expand pretty early, he did so in his games vs Loner atleast. Maybe he's not too bad in the macro department either.
I voted for NaDa but i'm really not sure, was more like a virtual coin toss, eagerly awaiting the outcome of this game like I guess 99% of the people on TL
Nada's macro is just better....this could be huge. It will almost definitely be close. Voted Nada, but really I can't decide who I want to win. If either of them won the whole thing that would just be so amazing. I was afraid they would do a Michael Schumacher (Formula 1 reference if you don't know) and be the huge champions who come back and underwhelm completely. I didn't want that, seeing them both do so well has been so amazing.
I think Nada has shown a lot more talent even though I have been a boxer fan my entire life . So BOXER FIGHTING!!~. But I do think Nada has made more use of his practice.....But Nada also has a team =/
Voted for NaDa because I think macro will eventually what decides it all and we all know NaDa's macro > Boxer's macro but micro wise probably other way around.
Voted NaDa, cos for some odd reason I like him more than Boxer. And also because of that TvZ game he played against Leenock on Shakuras Plateau. That was just amazing, the power of macro. Woud be cool to see him against a really really top level zerg. Zenio/NesTea, I mean you
The OP should be updated with polls for the other games.
Think boxers early game pushes might be too strong for nada, but if he holds off those nada will have the edge in the macro game, although can never count boxers drop play out to do economic damage to balance the macro...
I don't even want to vote who's gonna take the win. They are both really congenial persons, I'd prefer them to be first and second in this tournament :D
I hope they'll start 1-1 and then play the best SC2 match ever! ^^
The only game i have complete mixed feelings and aint able to bet is genius x itr .... i think it has the potential to be the best TvP i ever seen ....
lol the poll is perfectly split that's incredible probably will be the best matches of the gsl so far i really really can't wait genius vs rainbow is gonna be insane as well i think we are in for a treat and a half.
i also really think it's interesting that kyrix and fauxer made it to the ro8 honestly no one could have said they predicted that especially with their lacklustre wins in the ro64.
After the interview with Artosis after the last match, I'd say this is coming up to be a really interesting series. We all know that Boxer can't beat NaDa in macro play, so we are definitely going to see some out-of-the-box strats from Boxer. I can't wait to see what Boxer will pull out of his sleeve this time.
I want them to both win x_x; voted BoxeR just to even out the 1609:1604(+1, my vote) spread, but yes I want both of them to win at the same time rawr GOM make it happen somehow T_T
voted for nada because his macrogame against leenok was just scary as hell. I didn't know that this is actually possible in sc2. on the other hand, boxer stomped Loner so easy... It will be a very even fight between the two of them. I also expect the winner to take the whole thing.
lol jk, I actually think that the TLers couldn't bear to see someone "lose" this poll, and so voted for the slightly lagging player. I can't blame that, I love both these legends, I can't pick, but I don't want one to lose out to the other... sigh =(
Hah, such a close poll. I don't know if its real though, or if people just vote up the loosing players and its always close. Interesting stuff nonetheless.
I voted for Nada half because I expected him to win and half to just keep the results even. I'm sure I'm not the only one who waited to cast his vote to ensure it would keep the 50/50 split.
I tipped the scale!! (when it was 1872:1872) But I think BoxeR has a legitimate chance of winning this, even though I respect NaDa's style of play. BoxeR seems to have his general knowledge of timings down, so NaDa is going to need to throw BoxeR off as well. But nonetheless this is going to be a great way to see an old school BW TvT. BOXER HWAITING!!
Okay, I haven't been following sc2 at all but it has come to my attention Boxer is playing NaDa. How do I watch this, do I still have to pay for a GSL stream and if I do is there any work around?

For a SQ(low) quality stream you can watch it for free, you have to buy a high quality stream, and/or the VoDs though. Watch it on www.gomtv.net when it's live.

There is a free stream but I think number of users is capped there are alot of restreams though. Just look for any streamer with alot of viewers and it's most likely a restream (if you hover your mouse over the links it shows viewercount)
Wow, poll is split even, I voted for nada and when I refreshed, the poll remained split even. This has gotta be the match of the whole GSL. All my fav. are dead expect for Genius.
It's exactly even as I am looking now. 1898 to 1898
LOL
Close call eh!?!?!
BoxeR is my call, because I'm old and I always like to see old players get back glory. Even though that would be the case for both, it would be moreso for The Emperor. GL!
Loving this poll. Having to choose between the Emperor and Nada is a tough one though. Most successful vs most famous? Regardless of who wins I'm expecting a seriously incredible series.

C'mon, we all know the apple/banana controversy is as old as time itself.
Gamereplays.org has a nice thing where the results are hid until you actually vote, and if you click "view results" you are no long allowed to vote. TL should implement that.
I love that it's even. Are people intentionally voting for whichever is behind (or legitimately if it's tied) to keep it at 50/50? Is there a subculture of people voting to increase the spread, voting for whoever is ahead? Is voting for one actually a vote to hype or unhype the match, regardless of intention? Are mods fixing it to hype the match? Are the opinions of TL so evenly split? The world may never know.
Hyped for the match either way, just voted to keep it even
poll is so epicly tied but there's no way boxer can win.
i feel like he's had an incredibly easy path through, even though he faced Loner, Loner played terribly. whereas Nada has actually had some decent players. and I feel like Nada's builds are more solid. anything could happen really but I don't think its going to be close.
Even though I'm a huge fan of Boxer's, I just feel like Nada' play is so solid. Then again, the basis for my comparison is boxer's play versus fruitdealer at blizzcon and nada's recent ro16 match.
exactly WHY would the poll be rigged? this tournament isn't even that important in the grand scheme of things
1) its the ro8, not finals 2) neither player has any titles in sc2 3) this is the 2nd major tournament ever 4) game is still being patched
there's like so many reasons why this match isn't important, its just neat that its old school BW players, but its not even close to significant enough to rig.

they are arguably the most successful broodwar player of all time and the most famous progamer of all time how is it not a big of a deal ??

I thought this goes without saying.
Why are people trying to 'look cool' by trying to play this match down? It's exciting! If you don't agree, go away

People are saying "rigged" as in people are voting for who they think will win, but rather they see that it's so close already so they vote for whoever has a few less votes to even the score. It's been tied a perfect even 50-50 for over the last 1500 votes. I've checked it at least 10+ times and it never deviated by more than 4 votes.
omg, this is such a hard decision.... i just wish both of them could win, why do they have to vs each other now :T i wish it was the final match where they met, lol i hope that the stream wont crash or anything >_>
People are obviously voting at this point just to keep it even, but it's ok since we all love both so much that if we need a reason to vote for one over the other, closing the gap between the two seems like a good one.
So this is a little off-topic I suppose but certainly doesn't call for a new thread. What does everyone think the chances of a Boxer vs Foxer final? That would just be un-sane.

With Genius still in the tournament, I don't think it'll happen. If it did, I would go nuts.
2260 for Boxer vs 2261 for Nada at the time of this post.
Again, I gotta say that I was completely amazed at how close these results are, given the number of people who voted! Although I am grateful we are getting this match, I don't see how anything else can be more epic for the finals. Except maybe Fake Boxer vs SlayersBoxer .

My exact thoughts. NaDa has made some micro mistakes, but so has Boxer believe it or not. And NaDa's macro will be unstoppable. I really wanted to see NaDa vs Idra. Maybe next time.

I wanted to see that so bad too. Would be such a great game.
the liquibet poll won't be this even (if it is, WOW ^^), but this poll is for simple reasons... i think many people like both players equally and would like to see both win. so they're just voting the player that is behind in votes. personally, i think that ... fuck i don't know, but probably Boxer is gonna win.

Ok. The only way to settle this is to have a mod come and tell us the truth, cross his heart.!! PLEASE MODS.... is this pure undesigned EPICNess or lame rigging!?

Well, I just saw that Nada was down by one so I decided to vote to even it out.

TL Mods live for this shit. No way are they gonna ruin the fun.
This is arguably one of the most anticipated matches in GSL 2! Who do you think will win, who do you want to win, and who do you think we'll see in the Grand Finals?
Remaining contestants are: FakeBoxeR (T) vs KyrixZenith (Z) NEXGenius (P) vs HopeTorture (T) NesTea (Z) vs oGsZenio (Z) SlayerSBoxeR (T) vs NaDa (T)

Your vote: SlayerSBoxeR vs NaDa?

I'm voting for NaDa because his macro is godly, and probably NaDa vs HopeTorture for the finals. Not sure who would win that, but I'm rooting for NaDa!

This is a curious study on psychology. If I'm correct the poll indicates that tl wants them *both* to win. The liquibet results may differ slightly, lol.
I liquibet Boxer, I voted Boxer.. I think Nada will win, Nada is so solid right now, he looks really really strong right now. Hopefully Boxer pulls it out :D Boxer fighting
I honestly don't think it is rigged in any way. Both are just such amazing players its really really hard to say who will win, and I a good number of those who voted were only slightly swayed to their choice because of something they've observed personally in the player's form.

I agree. Everyone just love both of them and here's to hoping for a really good game.
I actually think BoxeR will be ahead on the liquibet poll when it is over. Maybe even by far. Not because he got a better chance of winning, personally I think it's the opposite, but because people tend to vote for those they hope wins. And i got the impression that BoxeR got more fans. Or the least more people have heard of him.
I think Nada, he has somehow bumped into the one player who has more expectations and hopes riding on his shoulders than him!
I really want Boxer to take this GSL2 though, it'd be a huge story. I think Nada can keep moving on even if he loses but falling short at this stage in his life in a new challenge could be dangerous for Boxer.

Boxer will be fine even if he loses. He has his S-class title and there is no shame in losing to Nada. He'll just come back better than ever.
Of course, SC2 and the GSL will explode in popularity if Boxer wins, I think. It might bring a lot of old SC:BW fans over to SC2.
Game 1 - map: metalopolis, cross-positions: Nada goes FE and denies every attempt from boxer to scout it though he prolly realise the exp is there. Boxer on the otherhand choses a more tech based route and goes for banshees with cloak but initially does minimal damage.
Nada counterpushes the banshee harrass with a massive M&M push with one or two tanks. Boxer seemed to have almost nothing but a tank and a couple of marines but defends with SCV:s and at the same time attacking Nada:s base with a banshee and takes out some of his SCV:s but loosing the majority of his owns.
Boxer pushed hard with marine/tanks and tries to flank from high ground but Nada defends well and is able to pump more units with his eco/scv-advantage and takes out boxers main.
Boxer tries to counterpush for a base trade but Nada can float a CC over and has no problem to hold it off.
Both players do a similar opening but Boxer does more damage with his banshee. Nada makes a Raven. Both players meet with their armies in the middle. Nada seems to get ahead but Boxer sneaks around and attacks Nadas natural with siege tanks and marines. Nada turns around from his sieged position in the middle of the map.
Boxers already sieged position at Nadas natural makes it impossible to break and it's pretty much GG from there..
Tipton that's not how you use a colon ( : ). Colons are for starting lists: a, b, c, d. Since you're only pluralizing an acronym (More than one SCV), you put the acronym in caps and the s in lower case. So, "the SCVs attacked" is fine.
Sorry for being a grammar nazi. It's just super super wrong.

No problem! thanks. If you read anything else I've written you see that I use lowercase. I was just writing fast between the breaks.. and if I recall correctly pluralizing this way is right in other languages... colons are just used differently
