Unless the artifact suddenly brought life to Char, I'd say that's more likely a volcanic part of Auir, which the zerg on that planet would be drawn to.

Knowing Blizzard it's entirely possible they turn Char into a jungle planet. The fact that it actually started raining on Char - a planet that is clearly shown to be covered in lava and volcanoes without any water whatsoever - makes it totally plausible. Who knows maybe they'll pull a 'The artifact turned the magma into plants" or something.

I know there is this sci-fi convention that every planet can only have one distinguishing feature, so we see a jungle planet, a desert planet, an ice planet, etc.
However, it is actually possible for one planet to have jungles, volcanos and lots of other types of terrain all at the same time. You know, we even happen to live on just such a planet.

Just because all the scenes on one planet so far showed one particular climate doesn't mean that this is all the planet has to offer.

errh, when was the last time you played sc single player? cause whenever one of the cerebrates died the zerg under his control went crazy and started killing anything they saw.

Char is not Earth, those plants might feed off magma for all you know. It doesn't happen here but I like the look of the giant people eating plants on a magma death planet.
