Interesting. If I look very closely I can tell she's over 30 but she still looks very good. It probably has more to do with diet, exercise than race. Of course being known as the Emperor in your country probably helps with girlfriends.

ZOMG!! there are so many things wrong with that! The last pic wasn't photoshopped and she looked fine. And I could tell you the same thing about 100% of celebrities these days that they look worse in real life. Also when BoxeR met her she was prob something like 30-32!
And she was prob really big in SKorea when BoxeR was in his late teens! Those are the years when you have golden ideals about certain women! Its like me falling in love with Catherine Zeta Jones. Not to troll on you or anything but i think you dont understand the celebrity culture in S.Korea!
It is considered mandatory to have some amount of plastic surgey to become a public figure over there. It is so widespread that these things are spoken about very openly unlike the rest of the world.
I personally think its something like a Geisha and all the weird stuff they have to go thru to appear attractive because essentially thats what it takes to be on screen in SKorea... I'm talkng even about teenage girls at the age of 10-12 yrs getting lifts, liposuctions and even"aegyo surgery"!
So its a given that she went thru all that anyway just as its a given that any famously pretty girl over there has done the same thing.

This could be a publicity stunt after all, aging actress needed to boost her popularity, starts dating boxer to not just draw more attention but also to appeal to much younger audiences. Indeed. I'm sorry, but since when is calling a person of Asian descent "asian" being racist? Calling a black person black isn't racist, however people seem to think it is and are referring to black people as "African-american" regardless of them being from America. Calling a black person a "fucking nigger", now that is being racist because it's derogatory and intended to demean and belittle the person.
Comparing Asians to other Asians isn't being racist, and the reason I wouldn't say "white woman" is because I'm white myself. If I were Asian however, I'd definitely be saying "white woman" and be referring an Asian woman as "woman."

If I were Asian however, I'd definitely be saying "white woman" and be referring an Asian woman as "woman."
He was pointing out a sort of institutionalized racism that is not so obvious. That when we refer to white women in the U.S., we refer to them as the standard "woman". Yet, when there's a woman of Asian descent, we Americans tend to say "Asian woman" or "for an Asian woman" to describe them. I know that might not seem "racist" at first glance, but it is something to note, that we don't view the races exactly equally because we have been brought up in the U.S. to accept white culture as the standard. There's a reason that most people don't say "for a white woman" or "white woman" to describe them.
The post about adjectives and food was not accurate either. "What do white people eat? food." Food is missing an adjective. What kind of "food"? This emphasizes my point above regarding white culture being standardized with other cultures becoming differentiated.
Race is a tenuous issue that most people don't understand completely, especially if they're not a person who's studied it, or a person from another country or ethnicity. But this is the internet so who cares.

I want you to realize that the instinctive use of race as an adjective is not relative. I'm asian and I'd like to say that I know more about this than others, especially due to the fact that I study this, but not all races are the same, that Asians still refer to others as "Asians" and not just "people". It's become a problem that is not obvious to most people, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Actually, Nagano got it right-- everyone else just thought they were being trolled, and I didn't try to keep explaining so that the thread wouldn't further be derailed. Maybe things are different in other countries, but in the US there is often a fetishizing of certain ethnicities that gets a little weird at times. It could be that I am just misinterpreting an international community because of my own limited perspective; if that is the case, then I apologize-- too many liberal arts degrees, I guess.
And of course there is nothing wrong with using adjectives, especially if adjectives are relevant-- nor does it mean that someone is an overt, evil racist-- I was just bringing attention to, as Nagano said, institutionalized racism which is much harder to discern and is often used unwittingly, and I admit I may have gotten a bit carried away.

Look, I understand you. As a minority I. Don't just know what you're talking about but experience it.
But its the same everywhere else. White people will experience the same if they live in non white majority country too. They will no longer be "that guy", but "that white guy" just the same. Everyone thinks of themselves as the standard and won't notice it until they are the minority. If someone was in majority and still cognizant of this, i'd applaud them for their level of maturity. But I wouldn't expect a person living in their bubble to know what you are talking about due to their inexperience. And that's ok too.
