I don't know what "that" you are talking about (bad player, or good player), but the instances I remember Tyler talking about MC, he mentions 1) MC plays unsafe 2) MC won't be a bonjwa in a few months 3) he doesn't like the way MC plays...he does mention that "I'm not saying MC is BAD, but..." which isn't exactly a compliment.

It's what he leaves out that might confuse some people. Personally I think it's just some macho-man attitude, Tyler doesn't want to give props to MC because he doesn't like the way he plays OR he thinks he can beat him, both of which are up to debate. It's also possible that Tyler just isn't the type of person to give other people props. I haven't paid attention to his speech patterns and opinions of other players in a long time.
I'm going to guess that if someone were to directly ask Tyler if he thought MC was a good player, he would absolutely answer "Yes" (and a couple other critiques).
he knows mc's good, and he knows mc's got insane micro.
he just thinks his builds aren't as safe as they could be.
I hope that most people in this topic stop criticizing the opinions of people on state of the game/elsewhere. It's getting to the point where I'm sure certain members of the cast will hold back on certain questions because they know if they say ANYTHING AT ALL in regards to the question that was asked, there will be 40 pages of hate messages and countless trolls every time they lose a game in the future.
It's obnoxious and retarded, you people need to chill out.

I cannot believe i had not seen a single episode of this show before 2 days ago; this is very very interesting and many subjects are discussed ! Concerning Tyler's words about MC i kinda agree with his point of view, MC is truely amazing right now and is crushing left and right just like Tyler said BUT at the same time his playstyle is somewhat simple and only comes to the execution he is not actually showing amazing macro games with good multitask management and such unlike most other top players. Nevertheless MC might be good enough to show such games in the future but there are no proof of that being true for now; just gonna have to wait and see but i do think that MC won't stay at the top for too long, in my opinion he won't become the ''first sc2 legend''

Today a package arrived. Within it's contents there was a shirt. This is no ordinary shirt. It is to be worn by one Tyler at MLG Cbus. The shirt can be described as epic/funny.
It is happening...

Sure, he knows that MC is good and MC's got insane micro, but those are words out of your mouth and not his. Ironically, you seem to be more ruffled than most people in this thread.

It is happening... I actually thought that shirt would never get mentioned again, except for people going "Remember that shirt that never happened? Way back?".
Woa.

You know you guys are allowed to be supportive every once in a while, right?
Tough day, Tyler. Good thing you have about a hundred NASL games to make up for it. Onwards and upwards!

It is happening... Wherever you ordered that from, dont order there again. What was it, like, last October when it was first talked about? maybe even eralier

I think this is actually the second shirt and inc just gave up on the first one. He also revealed what the first shirt was, it was like the frilly pirate shirt from Seinfeld I think.

Does anyone feel like Tyler isn't taking SC2 seriously? That, for a popular player headlining one of the most prestigious teams in the game currently, he isn't living up to what most other players--given the opportunity--would strive for?
I have a feeling that if Tyler's spot on Team Liquid were offered to one of 7 or 8 dedicated, hard working players in the community (who, for instance, aren't sponsored or are sponsored but could be a valuable addition to liquid regardless), we'd see the passion to be the best player he or she could be.
I don't want to get lambasted for calling Tyler out, but I've only chosen to say anything because it seems somewhat clear that his poor performance isn't due to a bad day or temporary slump. It's because he doesn't spend enough time playing the game and, given all the sponsorship and support of the community, it almost feels like a big middle finger to everyone rooting for him, liquid, and the success of e-sports.
Now obviously Tyler is a great guy. He's intelligent, seasoned and is no doubt capable of being a tip-top player. I'm just wondering if he's taking full advantage of this amazing opportunity.

.... You realize, I hope, that Tyler was the only Liquid member to win his ro32 match? ..........
