Please please please... reevaluate this logic. Nobody calls up fucking ESPN and shouts into the phone "YOU AREN'T AS GOOD AS X ! ! !! ! HOW CAN YOU SPEAK THIS WAY?" We as a community need to develop a bit of a backbone and kinda realize the way the world works in these regards. Nobody wants a show where each time the conversation turns to GSL we all just smile and go "well, no comment! I can't claim to be as good so I guess we just sit here and agree everything they did was superior." It'd be one thing if tyler was like "LOLOLOL MC IS TRASHHHHHHHH" but instead he takes time out of his day each week to explain in amazing detail what he thinks could be improved/praised etc of someone's play and it is A TREMENDOUS ASSET to everyone listening. Please stop muddying up this thread and others with some petty shit talk because he just lost a huge match...whether tyler is right or wrong sucks or gosu he has a mind for this game 99% of you would do well to listen to. Even when you disagree with him the conjecture is a benefit to your SC2 development. RESPECT plz | ||

People should say: "Starcraft 2 isn't Brood War!" And not: "Tyler isn't good! What does he know!? What has he accomplished!?" At least the first argument would acknowledge that they understood what he meant. The second isn't even responding to the criticism; they're just saying random words. He said that MC was a good player. And yes, he can say MC is a good player and also make his criticism at the same time.  | ||

It's what he leaves out that might confuse some people. Personally I think it's just some macho-man attitude, Tyler doesn't want to give props to MC because he doesn't like the way he plays OR he thinks he can beat him, both of which are up to debate. It's also possible that Tyler just isn't the type of person to give other people props. I haven't paid attention to his speech patterns and opinions of other players in a long time. I'm going to guess that if someone were to directly ask Tyler if he thought MC was a good player, he would absolutely answer "Yes" (and a couple other critiques). | ||
