how was he incompetent?
he gets asked to cast a tournament and doesn't get invited into several games he had a confirmation on...
TB is just getting as butthurt as incontrol always gets when people talk shit about him on the forums
he completely failed to cast any games and tried to steal viewers from the onsite casters+streamers and when they said no he threw all the toys out of the pram and gave up. thats like the definition of childish and incompetence
Tbh i wish totalbiscuit would just quit completely :p guess some people like listening to clueless idiots ramble on while watching sc2
It often seems like people don't actually listen to what is being said.
With the whole Morrow thing they all said he's actually a reallly good play but that his ZvZ is very subpar and then said why they think it might be. They weren't just making shit up with that either they mentioned Assembly and various zergs commenting on it. Maybe his ZvZ has gotten better since the various zergs commented on it but he hasn't shown that.
The TotalBiscuit thing was just JP going hey I heard this had happened and then the others commenting on that. If blame must be placed it should be on JP for not finding the facts properly. As soon as InControl found out that what they were talking about is wrong he backtracked and apologised which is more than what normally happens. That shows that there is some respect for TotalBiscuit.
The other thing people seem to miss is that this isn't a serious analysis of StarCraft and the things going on. This is a few people chatting about StarCraft and the things going on. It's more like listening to a bunch of friends who have just sat down to talk. If you want anaylsis on strats and such then there are places to get them like day9 or the coaching corner. If you want frequent updates on all the news then JP now has the SC2 Centre thing he's doing.
People continue to take InControl way too seriously and not just takes things he says out of context but completely twists what he says. Because he has the reputation (deserved ) of being a troll people just believe the worst. He can say someone is fantastic but then point out one minor problem they have with the game and suddenly everyones asking why they all hate that player.
Lastly for the community and contributions to the game there is more than just tournement wins. On the show we have JP who is a self-admitting bad player but he's trying to produce huge amounts of watchable/listenable content for the community and lots of casting, InControl who while doesn't win tournements does place in them and is starting casting and coaches and plays at a level that is above everyone in this thread, Tyler who again places in a lot of tournements has an impressive history in BW and again plays at a higher level and the other main is Day9 who also produces a large amount of content for the community including casting nearly everything . These are people living and breathing the scene and if the only people who is worth listening to in regards to it are the people who win lots and lotsof tournments then you're going to have very little to watch.

I don't care if I get warned or banned for this
you are a fanboy idiot
TotalBiscuit gets told that Assembly wants him to cast games for Day 2. TotalBiscuit's sleep schedule is based off of EST time due to private issues. so to be ready to cast games for Assembly Day 2, TotalBiscuit has to be up at the equivalent of 4 AM EST.
TotalBiscuit ends up being told he can't cast games and whoever from Assembly that originally told TB they wanted him for Day 2 isn't available to back him up and correct the misunderstanding. so TB ends up committing a large block of time to cast SC2 and being told that Assembly doesn't need him anymore.
but obviously, TB should just be really happy about all these turn of events instead of being pissed because some idiot fanboy doesn't like the way he acts/casts.
I think this episode had a somewhat bad atmosphere to it. Lots of dissing and making fun of members of the community, and not really that many interesting subjects either.
Made me kinda miss Day9, who at least in my eyes balances the whole cast by not hating on everyone.

One of the most well thought out and well spoken comments in this thread. Shame majority of people won't read this and will continue their slander to the very people who provide them with this enjoyable but often "controversial" show.
So TB, why didnt you take a page out of mark zuckberger's and laugh at the fiction rather then causing a drama fuckfest out of "something". You left it up in the air and now your whinning about people making false claims on it. Suck it up and move on, May SOTG flame on!
I think Tyler should be required to do SOTG drunk so he can bring out the Reagan more often. Also this thread is absolutely hilarious, keep feeding the fire Europeans.
TB is coming out fighting like the scrappy Brit he is. But that is exactly how you aren't supposed to do it, especially when your opponents are respected members of the community. If your ethos is in question, than you have to argue with respect and tact, because these are the sort of things we expect from credible characters. Calling your accusers trolls and badmannered as you did on that reddit post is what you aren't supposed to do. That sort of rhetoric leads me to believe you want their heads on a platter. Going up against InControl and IdrA will only polarize the community and will endanger your livelihood more than a few lies one what is becoming the TMZ of SC. You should have responded respectfully, especially on your accusers' turf.
You are honestly claiming that they were purposefully making up lies about you? You don't believe that they were simply misinformed and repeating what they had heard?
If that is the case then I really don't know what to say.
One indicates malice. The other indicates unprofessionalism. Both are pretty bad. Which is it?
I think you have a beef, and it should be mentioned - no question. It does seem to me that they went a little off in the weeds on this. Not a new thing for SotG, but shouldn't be dismissed nonetheless.
However, after reading your responses in this thread alone you have absolutely zero ground to stand on judging other people's professionalism. Unless, of course, being a raving hypocrite is your goal.
I also think you're being pretty disingenuous to act like your "lots of bad stuff happened today", "i'm dialing down my sc2 involvement" posts were completely unrelated to the events that transpired at Assembly, but I guess you can make that assertion if you insist.
If anything TB ends up looking good at the end of the day here, he got dragged into all of this, defended himself and explained what happened and walked happily into the sunshine, without a care in the world.
Morrow is the first person who has switched races in Starcraft 2 to reach 2 major finals, who else has accomplished that feat, EU, NA or Korea? Who can rival that?
And Husky? He makes more money doing his "bad casting" than most people playing Starcraft 2 on a pro level, the kid can walk to the bank laughing.

Thing is they could say that TB is going to be on the show and Geoff could fool most of us Americans if he could stay in character the whole show. I know Brits could tell the difference super easily, but us Americans wouldn't have the ear to do so.

Is this some kind of joke? Geoff's accents aren't good, just funny

Because if they said that Geoff is being replaced by TotalBiscuit for a whole show, nobody would think anything of it. And when he starts talking, nobody would notice either. Right.

ZeNexByun
Thats it? So only 2 players, wow Morrow is even more impressive then, especially considering he never went to Korea to practice or spend 2-3 years getting hardcore practice down. The kid is a natural talent
