Did you perhaps gather that from when he said that he wasn't having much fun there at the beginning?

I'd say it's more that he's not living up to his own expectations, which as he has said, is to win GSL. When you have a goal like that and you're still stuck in code A it's got to be frustrating.
Hopefully these new maps help him out. I think the style he plays is really suited to them.
I'm sure we'll see him in MLG, IEM and ESL. I would not be surprised if he wins a few.

Hmm, maybe my understanding of RSS vs Podcast is lacking. JP said episode 25 wouldn't be on the itunes for a while due to this or that. I thought if you manually add a feed address to your podcasts, itunes would fetch episodes from that feed without them having to be in the store proper. However when I go to the feedburner site I see episode 25 there, but when I add "http://feeds.feedburner.com/State-of-the-Game" to itunes (via Advanced->Subscribe to Podcast), it only shows up through episode 24.

Some people are just so incredibly dense... I guess people just didn't understand the discussion in which Day[9]'s stories were mentioned in the pre-show...
Day[9] is putting a metric fuck-ton of work into promoting SC2 E-sports, and is well on his way to becoming the face of SC2 to the general public. In doing this, it could greatly hurt him if these stories get out to the people providing money to the scene, or to the general public who's attention the sponsors are trying to get. (much like how random shit from years past can surface to ruin someone running for political office)
He posted those stories many years ago, long before anyone suspected that he would become the center of attention, and it would be in everyone's best interest if they could fade from existence as he has been trying to make them.
As such, people need to stop quoting and linking to the shit just for the lulz. You're doing more damage to the community than your 5 seconds of attention is worth. THAT WAS KINDA THE POINT OF THE DISCUSSION IN THE PRE-SHOW.
Of course, that being said, it was even MORE retarded of iNcontrol and Tyler to even mention the stories on a show that half of the goddamn community would be listening to.

I like how people get worked up over masturbating in an airplane bathroom but sex is completely ok. Only on an SC forum...

A necessary evil! If, by reading my rant, some of the people who would have spread the stories instead opt not to, then it will have been a net gain. I just hope that I was clear enough to actually convince people rather than just make people want to fight me on the subject. /stare
Edit: Of course, with that as my goal, I suppose I should have made my original post a bit less belligerent... but editing it after it's already been responded to might make it even worse, so I'll just apologize for the tone now and hope that people read this far before responding.

First of all, I don't disapprove of Day9's action at all. I don't care if he has kinky sexual tendencies. However, when people are trying to hide his past by brushing it under the rug, then it's a big freaking problem. It's not like people held a gun to his head and forced him to share his sexual adventures. He voluntary posted his "masturbation in the airplane bathroom stall" story on TL.net on his own cognizance.
He may become the face of SC2 (highly debatable), but he still needs to face the consequences. Being a "public figure" in e-sports doesn't mean his past is off limits, especially on anything he posted himself. Do you notice the mods deleting references to his past sexual adventures? No, they are not. It goes to show that what we post yesterday, today, and tomorrow will be held accountable, open to public consumption, and forever be connected to the individual.

For some reason it only downloads like 3mb of that file. Only 5:35...

I highly doubt anyone is going to give a crap about his time joining the mile high club. IT shouldn't be a big deal, if anything it'll stay a funny anecdote.

Incontrol and Tyler were discussing a Protoss vs Terran strategy not getting collosus, involving 2 upgrading forges or getting storms, and start getting inmortals when upgrades are 2-2. Any1 have any info on this build?

he's doing something similiar here, fast upgrading on 2 forge using chronoboost to his advantage to get fast upgrades.
although here he doesn't transition into immortal / storm, just gateway units with upgrades (charge + blink too)

You do realize that day[9]'s stories are just amusing, right? He didn't even do anything illegal or out of the realm of normal behavior for a teenager.

How on earth has this nonsense with Day[9] turned into some kind of access-to-information cause? Is it really morally reprehensible to delete old posts you made? Honestly, noone is going to care inside a few weeks.
|
Replace Day[9] with John Madden. Now how many parents do you think would hear that story and suddenly wouldn't buy his games for their kids? It would be more than enough to piss off the producers, I guarantee.
Everyone knows that nobody is a perfect little angel from conception to adulthood, and that most people have embarrassing stories that they wouldn't want to admit to in front of a camera, but when it comes to Americans, suburban middle-class soccer-mom housewives (aka, the biggest consumers on the planet) are especially stupid in regards to the reasons they stop spending their money on things.
Things that scare away consumers will lose you sponsors, and nothing scares away consumers like deviant sex stories. Its hard to become a household name with stuff like this reaching the public- and a household name is EXACTLY what we want Day[9] to become, as he is the furthest along in the venture, and the most likely to succeed.
I'm not saying that anything should be "off limits". I'm just saying that we shouldn't be shouting it to the masses at the top of our lungs and bringing extra attention to it that may potentially slow our progress- especially in this delicate stage of the process (starting to draw the attention of bigger and bigger sponsors).
If people are gonna try to dig up this stuff, then let em work for it instead of it being at the top of the google search for "Day[9]" (exaggeration, most likely. I didn't actually google Day[9] to check how far down the list these stories will be)
