i was gonna list the 4-5 posts where Avilo explicitly threw up a (stupid) challenge.
then i saw you had a whooping three posts....
then i checked your TL.net profile and saw you joined today....
when the holy hell did TL change their stance and allow people to post on the first day of their account during made? when i joined, new posters had to wait three days and this was the practice for a LONG time. and it was clearly a good idea, bc people like you never posted. and TL was a better place

No, that's not what I said. I suggest reading each and every word, and taking careful consideration of each sentence prior to making a one lined summation, which bastardizes the subject topic. Thanks for your 1 lined contribution.

What would victory under those conditions prove exactly? That Incontrol can currently beat Avilo in a bo5 or vice versa? People in here are being kind of unfair to Avilo, incontrol included. Up for debate is the value of a pro Terran's perspective on the current metagame and balance concerns, and Avilo is challenging Incontrol's understanding of Terran in this regard, saying it might not be sufficient for a balanced look at the "state of the game." If Incontrol has a poor understanding of Terran, and doesn't know how to play the race beyond a low masters level then he's probably not the steward of the Terran metagame he claims to be. It's not like only Incontrol would be offracing, they both would be. If they both offrace and Avilo crushes Incontrol, it shows Avilo understands the TvP MU from both sides better than Incontrol, it also goes a long way to proving he's less biased, and it (might) demonstrate that Incontrol isn't much of an authority on Terran at all. This is a game, you can claim to know all there is to know about it, but if you haven't faced the frustrations and difficulties associated with the gameplay and the current state of the metagame or balance at a certain level of play then you're really just running your mouth. I don't see why more people don't seem to understand this.
Avilo's stakes are higher than Incontrol's. If Incontrol loses a PvT vs. Avilo, it doesn't mean very much, it's just one series, and in fact Incontrol can just turn around and claim it just shows the MU is balanced. If Avilo loses as Protoss vs. Incontrol's Terran (which Incontrol himself claims is bad), then not only can Incontrol claim Avilo doesn't know Protoss very well and shouldn't complain about the TvP MU, he can say he has a better, less biased understanding of the gameplay in the MU from both sides since he plays both at a reasonably high level. If Incontrol loses as Terran to someone he claims he is better than by 10 times offracing as protoss it seriously calls in to question Incontrol's credibility on Terran. Incontrol shouldn't be saying his Terran is bad while scoffing at and disregarding complaints coming from high level Terrans, particularly when he's involved in an important web series that makes him an important figure in the community. It just turns the whole thing into a joke.
So maybe Avilo "dodged" lower, less relevant stakes. For the purposes of this discussion, in my opinion, Incontrol is dodging higher, more meaningful stakes.

Amazed and grateful that Incontrol brought up the lack of attention to some of the player performances at MLG Anaheim..and for that matter all events. Was even more sad to see that no one but him had any fucking idea what he was talking about.

Go watch the later episodes with day9...all he does is sit there and eat dinner . That said, the show could use someone mellow and whimsy to balance things out...like Stephano, or a Huk (or a Puma) . Oh, and people need to stop bitching on InControl and Nony, they take time out of their day to respond to people here, so at least respect that, even if you don't agree.

Avilo is a very good player. He is definitely GM, and he did have a pretty good run at WCS.
The ghost+Battlecruiser endgame army mvp did in GSL finals- thats something Avilo has done for a long time.

Because, JP and Day9 Neither respond directly to TL users very often. Incontrol and Nony do, from time to time, but not every single one.
And yes, JP can answer as to the reason (if it is other than the reported too busy hiatus), and JP can also address why Sean was pulled down from the main list of guests (as a pillar). It's his show, he did certain things for a reason, and as much as he might not want to admit it, he has a responsibility to his viewership.

Yeah that makes sense, but I think this overall TvZ balance discussion has mutated into multiple things. I just simply wanted to see an Incontrol vs. Avilo, I just thought it would prove who the better player was ( assuming it was a bo7 or something) , I wasn't looking for anymore than that. That being said you have an interesting point, but in all honesty it still doesn't seem fair to draw any conclusion such as "avilo's opinion matters" just because he beat incontrol in a pvt because it could be potentially skewed heavily in Avilo's favor as I am assuming Incontrol doesn't play terran too much.

Wondered why. Did a search, nadda as to why Day[9] isnt on the show any more, other than JP noting that Sean is super busy (back in May) and is taking a hiatus (and JP shitting on his audience(nice post)) Nor is he listed as one of the 5 pillars anymore. Plausible reasons I can think of: most likely - day[9]'s commitements outweighed SotG. possible: JP/MLG and Day9 contractual clash, day9 scrubbed unlikely: Day[9] personal spat with SotG and left/canned I'd like Day[9] to come back for whatever reason... he brought a great deal of game sense and knowledge to the table, and presented it in an educated manner. Nony just agrees to whatever the previous person said, which is incontrol usually, as incontrol rambles a bit, but makes good points (and some bad) in the process. JP is a host, and offers no real content to the show IMO. I could kinda do without JP entirely, but a moderator of sorts is needed on an opinion based show. Idra offers good content, and it's from the gut and from the heart as well. I like honest approaches to things. So, why is day9 gone, and when is he returning? JP? Is there no chance of it (since he's been removed as one of the main guests from the main post)? Regarding terran, inControl and Avilio: + Show Spoiler +Well, bludgeoniung your way into a notable positions isn't really the way to do it. A polite discussion with a very polite showmatch offer is a good way, but better yet is simply to just ask to be a guest Terran representative, though I doubt JP and the like want another 'guest', they're kind of elitist that way. so, basically, you want SOTG to be a day9 daily, and you hate everyone. thanks for the contribution. No, that's not what I said. I suggest reading each and every word, and taking careful consideration of each sentence prior to making a one lined summation, which bastardizes the subject topic. Thanks for your 1 lined contribution. Why don't you ask Day9 directly ? I don't see why JP should answer posts like that, in no way can he speak for Day9, he's not the one having too many commitments and planning them. Because, JP and Day9 Neither respond directly to TL users very often. Incontrol and Nony do, from time to time, but not every single one.
Ofc, who read everything on TL ?
Pretty sure you can mail him your dissatisfaction at feedback@day9.tv or on Twitter.
