Will he continue to coach students in the US? If he is, then his schedule will be on US timezone while in Korea. If he focuses on gaming the next couple of weeks, it'd be awesome if he could round up some of the foreigners in Korea on the podcast.

Isn't it much more reasonable to eliminate the offending player's map choosing privileges? here's what's ridiculous: not actually going to read the rules you complain so vehemently about. Players found breaking Rules #5-9 will be issued a Technical Foul. If an SC2 Player is penalized with a Technical Foul, they will lose their next opportunity to choose the Map for the upcoming Game. Instead, their opponent will choose the Map. SC2 Players who receive three Technical Fouls for one Match will be given a one Game penalty. After three Technical Fouls, each subsequent Technical Foul in the Match will result in another one Game penalty. When an SC2 Player receives a one Game penalty their opponent will be allowed to select one unit, other than Probe, Drone, SCV, Overlord, or Queen, that the Player with the one Game penalty can’t create during the upcoming Game. If the Player with the one Game penalty were to create that unit during the upcoming Game, they would Forfeit the Game. + Show Spoiler [Rules5-9] + # No standing on chairs, tables, or other tournament equipment. # No verbal abuse of Referees and other tournament officials. Verbal abuse of a Referee or other tournament official includes, but is not limited to, the use of vulgar language directed at a Referee or other tournament official, the use of insulting words or gestures directed at a Referee or other tournament official, and excessive argument with a Referee or other tournament official resulting in the delay of a Match. # No use of vulgar language directed at a Player, Coach, or Spectator. # No inciting Spectators into taunting a Player, Coach, or Spectator. # No excessive taunting or celebration by Coaches or Players. Excessive taunting or celebration includes, but is not limited to, post-Match taunting or celebration directed at or referencing an opposing Player(s) and/or Coach. Post-Match interactions between opposing Players and Coaches must be limited to acts of sportsmanship.

The time the podcast is currently recorded is actually the middle of the day in Korea, so I wouldn't expect there to be too many problems

I still don't believe that giving one player the option to ban the other player from making a unit is anything but ridiculous. What was your point?

What was your point? his point was that if you plan on going to a tournament, and being a complete dick, you deserve what you get coming to you.. MLG is a professionally run tournament, which means the players in it need to act professional. Personally I don't think the rule is harsh enough. They need to just throw them out of the tournament or give them a game loss if they are going to violate those particular rules. Obviously this hasn't been an issue yet,(at least from what I have heard) in Starcraft 2, but people acting out has been in issue in past games at MLG, there have even been physical confrontations at events. Even my halo 3 team got a technical in an event cause one of my team mates screamed gtfo of my hill... when we took the series by literally one second, so this stuff does happen, again.. I don't see it being a huge problem in SC2 due to the nature of the game, but with new players streaming in, you never know... I don't see how it's ridiculous at all, I think it's ridiculous that there NEEDs to be these kinds of rules cause people don't know how to act in a public setting edit: ok that wasn't his point, but I stand by my statement

It would take a player being more unruly than normal but it is entirely possible. Of course we should expect that our players are respectful of one another but this rule takes it too far. It makes the game a farce and not a competition.

The game itself should be fair and balanced, however the penalties should apply outside of game. An example would be that if you have penalties, then your opponent can pick all of the maps for your series. This wouldn't be unbalanced as far as the game itself goes, but would still give a strategical advantage because you would pick maps that favor your race. I think that would be a lot better rather than eliminating units, that is just stupid. seriously? read a few posts up, where i detailed exactly what the rules do. it's not hard. please do this.
