I think taking twitter or e-mail questions is a far superior way of getting some community questions asked and answered on air. That way JP can filter out the idiotic questions and we all avoid hearing some of these awkward callers.

By comparison, if you pick a matchup not involving terran (say, ZvP), and jump to the midgame, there will be a greater degree of variation in strategies being executed by both sides...different unit mixes, different number of expansions, different approaches or timings to win the game, etc. Some of it may be maps, some may just be player styles, but that was the concept I was attempting to express with the T matchups being more 'explored'. Maybe still the question is uninteresting to some, but I felt it worth asking to get the opinions of those who have a greater depth of knowledge than I do about the situation. (And no, I'm not silver, not that it matters)

(And no, I'm not silver, not that it matters) Its an idea Day[9] has done on his dailys, about "convergence". The idea that in any given opening, you'll get back to a point with the same production buildings as any other opener (assuming its not some all in). Your right, I pretty sure he did it with specific regard to Terran vs Zerg, but as you said, I don't think its possible with other races in other matchups, PvZ, PvT etc all have a million ways the midgame can go.

I do have some marketing studies of university level and most of what he said was asctually wrong but still wouldn't listen.----But I don't want to start a debate about that here, it is really about his attitude Else I'm glad that SOTG is back and have a good year ! edit: i need the link to the nada "stunt race" day9 was watching!

That said, I have to agree about the calling in. I figure that with the current viewerbase the question input is way too high to sort it out as only one person for JP, but I too liked the question part a lot more in the earlier stages when JP picked questions he sorted out before that were actually interesting, elaborate and not about "XvY what do you think about what I do here?" stuff. I don't want to talk down any of the people calling in for their questions, but its really a lottery, sometimes not best worded (sometimes obviously because of the anxiety and nerves once they are live at the show), and as others already stated, state of the game has become more of a hub to discuss the scene itself rather than random problem of random players in random matches, and is also more interesting that way in my eyes.

I didn't like what Destiny was saying in the marketing discussion either, but the "disinterestedness" (surprised that's a word lol) was because he was playing in a tournament during the show, not because he didn't care. I have no idea why he was on the show for the whole time if he was gonna be busy for the vast majority and then only really be able to talk about one thing, since it would've made more sense to have someone else on and then have him call in, but maybe they couldn't get someone else or something. The nada thing is here edit: and I agree about the call-ins, it really doesn't seem to fit the feel of the show at all. Inside the Game is great for questions like that, since they have a panel with all three races and the show is built around low-level strategy discussion, but SotG not so much. JP should either do twitter/email questions like he used to or just not answer questions at all.
