Just hope that most of the money goes to the cast of the show and not JP and MLG. Sad to see that a show that I felt was just for the fans without trying to make money gone this way.

Keep it coming, this is comedy! Not saying I like waiting, but some of the complaints are going to far.

However let me also just add that there were many (more) factors to the poker boom, and it was actually an explosion that built up over several years. I would say that the the poker boom actually started to take shape in the end of the 90s, with online poker and the movie Rounders (1998). This movie was a big recruitment tool for poker in the young male demographic, cause it unlike previous 'poker movies' really captured a big part of the intrigue of the life and mindset of a poker player (at that time). Fast forward several years and Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker. Although it was an important factor of the poker boom, it probably gets too much credit, while others are undeservedly rarely mentioned. I can assure people that 'the poker boom' and 'the Sc2 boom' are very different situations, and getting Sc2 on TV is in no way a guaranteed path to the mainstream, or even to give a significant boost to the current growth. In the end it will all be down to execution, both in terms of production choices and how willing the TV channel is willing to be flexible to make it work. I'm more than a little skeptical of the potential Sc2 and TV relationship, but I'll try to remain optimistic about it. I believe in the intelligence of many of the movers and shakers of this community, and the experience some of them have gained through the years of trial and error e-sports have gone through. I have never ever heard of that movie, but i remember clearly that me and most of my friends first learned about texas hold'em from watching it on TV. From there on we played it at school and regularly in get-togethers with friends, introducing it ourselves to other people, so from my POV it is undeniable that the WSOP broadcast was the main reason it boomed. sure my point of view is incomplete but from my perspective and from many others's that's how it looks. and even if online poker existed before it was shown on tv, it wasn't until it got really popular that online poker really boomed, poker sites got most of their exposure by hosting tournaments to compete for a spot at the WOSP and stuff. as for sc2, who knows? but unless it happens we can't know the effect. maybe it will be null or maybe it will explode.

Always say "soon™" or "when its done™" instead of: "audio portion of @StateOfTheGame will be up tomorrow when i wake up -- too tired to edit it tonight -- VOD within 24 hours" twitted 14h ago Anyways its interesting that "#$^@ Slasher" 1h long show is on MLG.tv 3h after show and 2,5h SotG needs few days...Anyways im looking forward to see another post/twitter from JP saying that encoding went wrong ect. #$^@ Slasher is recorded at MLG's office, from my understanding. StoG is recorded in JP's appartment as far as I can tell. I beleive the raw file last time was 97 gigs, from what JP said. I don't know why he cant just instantly transport that massive file(or series of files) to the office and compile it while he works. Also, editing takes time, assuming there are no errors. Our free podcast is comming as fast as the person can find time to make the free pod cast with all their other commitments. You know, like sleep and consuming food.

I hope there was some Tyler-Whitera dialogue about PvP.

Yeah, I know the show is free and he is a busy man, but don't make promises you can't fulfill. It's only annoying the fans. Just say something like "in a few days" or something less specific. No you're wrong because it's been proven if he doesn't respond the thread will be full of whiners asking the same shit and complaining about "customer service."
