Thank you very much. Never would have found out about it otherwise. Best part imo is when they are talking about NASL relegation.

There are other shows for that, what I enjoy about SOTG is how its evident Incontrol, Artosis, Tyler, Day9 and JP are all good friends. They've played with and against each other for years and not only are they comfortable joking around with each other but each of them brings something to the show. The fact that they are pros/former pros/casters is a bonus and adds a little extra relevance(at least for me) when they talk about the game.
Ultimately I watch SOTG to hear Incontrol make fun of everything under the sun,see Artosis be...Artosis, watch Tyler sit quietly for 15-20 minutes then drop the Knowledge bomb, to hear Day9 giggle and laugh for over half the show then pick Select or Boxer to win everything regardless of if they're in the tournament or not, and to hear JP hit all the drama related topics then awkwardly transition out of them while bitching about fixing the overlay the whole time.
I feel like some of you watch this show JUST so you can come on here and complain about something. SOTG is a fun laid back show where you get to see everyone's personalities featured and just have a good time and I hope it stays that way. Exactly... This is what i want aswell :d.
I'm in this boat as well, I don't get what people have against the round robbin stuff, makes it feel more relaxed to me. Yet they always bring alot of valid points/knowledge. And why is the lack of a european bother people? I'm european, I don't see the point really, sure the EU scene doesn't get as much exposure as NA/KR but a show can't have everything either.
Did they talk about the IPL groups yet? I remember them talking about the Gordon Haywood stuff but not the actual tournament.

The hosts of this show have no god damned respect for Europeans and I, for one, AM SICK OF IT

Holy fuck guys, are people really taking this much offense to lack of European coverage or their sarcasm last episode?
Not knowing European scene =/= Disrespecting the European scene.

I know right! Every tuesday night I'm 100% forced to sit down and watch. Its unbearable, and I, for one, AM SICK OF BEING FORCED TO WATCH IT. Theres no other starcraft podcasts at all!
Come on dude, its not a lack of respect. Any European who's actually doing even somewhat well in MLG's and other big tournaments are talked about. No, they dont know these dudes who dont play in big tournaments. too bad.

Can you guys try to have it not at 11:30pm on a Tuesday night...

Don't think he went to college.

I don't know if it's troll or not (seeing that you're from the US :D), but I'm a European, and I find their jokes funny as hell.
(Especially the "Craftscup EU #37" from Artosis, gold)

You know where the poster is from? He was probably not serious...
Most people dont think its such a big deal that they dont know the european scene as much. Still everyone focuses on those few who complain and think every european is butthurt. That's like the most annodying of it all.

It did get somewhat old towards the end of last episode though since it was the only kind of joke they did all episode.

If I want serious news I come to TL and read all the fantastic write ups, but SOTG is second to none in entertainment factor, just watching the guys chat about starcraft is awesome in and of itself.

yeah i listen to the MP3 on my PSP

Not a bad idea. Rotterdam is a great guy, and if not knowing enough about european players is a problem he is a perfect fit, as he is an encyclopedia of the EU-scene.

I think the most people who are 'offended' by their EU-trolling are US citizens. It's a really normal thing to do in shows, people always make fun of their 'neighbors', USA / Canada, Holland / Belgium, France / Germany, Greece / Turkey. A little bit of friendly rivalry and trolling never hurt anybody.

First time I read this I saw "people who are offended are US citizens." and I read it as U-S. I'm like wtf why would us from the united states be offended. :p
Took me a second to realize you didn't mean united states. :D

I personally love when they talk about Brood war. You can tell how much more passionate and sincere they sound when talking about their memories of BW. It's kind of sad to see BW dying in the foreign scene because these were some of the best years of their lives, but since SC2 is the future, they've been sort of forced into picking it up and playing it.
I know some of you may find it funny when Artosis says something like "I had tears in my eyes during that game etc." but having come from that community, I have to say that, having watched a lot of BW, that having emotional ties to the game wouldn't be that unbelievable. It's a shame because not everyone will ever truly understand what it was to be a progamer in Korea. They essentially dedicate their lives to the game and practice almost every waking hour of the day to get that one strategy down, that one scouting pattern exactly right etc. and when it is executed perfectly, it's absolutely amazing and like it was said before, only people who truly understand how hard it is to do something like that (and make it look easy nonetheless) will appreciate the hours and hours behind the scenes practicing.
That's where the crux of the argument lies when it comes to comparing foreigners and Koreans. Koreans will slowly pull away once the game gets figured out and it comes down to refining builds and small little intricacies. Also when the more dedicated progamers switch over, we'll see a whole new ballgame. If you think practicing for 8 hours a day is enough, people like Jaedong and Flash (before his wrists started hurting/he went for surgery) practice for like 12 hours+ regularly.
