I feel like that would be an artificial separation...Starcraft is international these days, only the online cups are seperate and obviously the ladders. So the hosts are not gonna know the EU players styles in as much detail as they would if they played them frequently, but that doesn't mean they are ignorant of them.

I'm in favor of discussion about the OSL. I never actually watched Brood War without English commentary before and it was definitely interesting to me. I just think Starcraft 2 has a long ways to go before it can get to that level of production and excitement consistently (GSL finals are so bad) and it would be a cool discussion to have as to what is different and what should change. At the very least, I wonder if anyone else didn't watch Brood War much, but made an exception for the OSL and had a positive experience?

That would be really nice. It's really entertaining when they discuss BW but its unlikely they would devout a section for it because people would complain =(

I agree, as a SC2 nebie, i'd love to hear them discuss the the OSL and Jangbi's win and significance it has in Korean BW and why its so special. Love stuff like that.

consequences are just as you expect, SC2 fanbase gets cannibalized, maybe people will still watch SC2, maybe not. Blizzard are a sad panda because their SC2 expansions don't sell so hot, etc, etc.

JP tweeted they would talk about Brood War on the next show. Definitely some SC2 news to mill over though.
I'd like some BW talk as well. I always enjoyed their stories from WCG's previous. Always funny stories.

I know there has been big news on the sc2 scene but I would love for them to talk about BW; not only its old days but also things like the OSL finals and what lessons can a sc2 progammer learn from them.

I know really think you can tranfer things from BW to SC2 other then the general stuff. Its two different games. I don't mind the BW, but they would probably need to preface it with some context for people to understand why the OSL Finals were important other then they were a big bw final. There have been a number of big BW events during SotG's run and they rarely touch on it, usually will mention something then jump into a story from the past.
