For us because 2 hours talks about MLG groups and judgments about things they don't watch is boring, and for them because having such uneducated views don't make them exactly shine.

Did I miss something? The worst part imo was when Tyler came on though. I didn't know if i should rage or lol about the way he talked about a player, who is way ahead of him skillwise. (if i recall it correctly he called him a "not fully developed sc2 player" and even asked, if he's even supposed to talk about the matchup Luci - DRG . Well by your logic Day9 and JP shouldn't ever criticize anyone's play. Almost all the pros are ahead of them skill wise. As for everyone's OPINION on the Allstar games, its their OPINION. If they don't like it why the hell do you care. Of course they can criticize all they want. If a silve league player understands the game well enough to see an obvious flaw in some pro's play, then he can criticize him for that. I think it's a bit different with one progamer criticizing another one, but obviously that's ok aswell. It depends on the tone. As long as you know what you're talking about and don't be a dick in the way you voice your criticism , go ahead and criticize. That's it for me, i don't feel like feeding aynmore trolls.
Feeding the trolls? You are the troll. Everyone that uses the "Don't talk about players that are better" is a troll. If I just quote you and change lucifron to tyler and tyler to your name, it fits pretty well. You're point isn't "Players with less skill shouldn't hate on players with more skill" it's "Players I don't like shouldn't hate on players I like". First you're a hypocrite and then in the next one you back off on your initial statement.

I don't understand how people can be so dumb...
If you listened to artosis at all he said he only wants to watch competitive matches. Obv. playing offrace isn't going to show your maximum skill, which is what he (and most of them) want to see.
Sure I enjoyed some the game but I'm not to dull to see what they are trying to say. They don't have unlimited time and they would rather watch a super high level game or do something else.

It's not like he was dominating tournaments for months. If I remember correctly he won only one 100€ cup and showed great play in some other cups. You can't expect the SOTG hosts to know everything. Don't be so angry.
He is one of the best TvZ players in Europe, but even if he would be the best, he would be a big underdog against DRG.
If you look at Lucifron two or even one month ago, the things that Tyler said make a lot of sense.
ye, its not like 3 of them are paid for their day job to talk about players....

Whats even worse was the fact that Incontrol had the gall to go ahead and call people stupid for enjoying it. Newsflash: We're the ones that are paying to watch you play. We are paying for you to make a living off this videogame. How do they, or any of the panelists for that matter, have the right to insult viewers who liked that all-star game? They didn't even watch the finals, which had some of the best TvT of SC2 so far.
Whats more, they were completely uninformed about the event itself, and are so out of touch with the Korean scene it's disheartening. "The All star match was played for money" Incorrect. You're confusing it with the Arena of Legends tournament. Great coverage there.
As was said before in previous posts, both Tyler and Incontrol have hosted TL Attack before, and this seems to have slipped their minds. The all-star game was broadcasted free of charge, and was a fun event. But of course, we can't have fun in SC2.

I really don't understand the need people have for an EU guest. Realistically, for there to be a proper discussion about the EU scene you'd have to swap out all the hosts for some EU hosts. Just having one guy telling everyone that lucifron is actually really good will not suddenly make the current hosts interested or knowledgeable about the EU scene.
Just like bringing in 1 terran or 1 zerg doesn't take the heavy protoss perspective out of the show, it just gets you one guy who occasionally will not agree with something that a protoss player would agree to.
I would even argue that it can make for worse discussion to mix things up too much. Just look at inside the game and how their multiracial discussions turn out.
So please stop demanding guests to fill some racial or regional slots. If you can't listen to a bunch of NA based protoss players this probably isn't the cast for you.

I'd compare the GSL Allstars to NBA Allstar weekend ... a boring, contrived, ego-stroking snoozefest.
I'd much rather watch Lebron and Kobe kill each other playing one-on-one for cash than Lebron and Kobe in a slam dunk competition, trying to make trick shots and high-fiving each other, etc.
The hosts are hardcore fans, and competitors. To them, high-level competition IS fun.

And he will go back to school very shortly, so will probably dissappear again then.
I don't blame the hosts for not knowing about him, since he's only started competing in tournaments again recently, unfortunate he has to play DRG, as he could've taken any of the other players out, but hopefully he puts up a fight and shows the doubters how he can play. (assuming they actually watch it )

I don't understand the EU rage. The bias against the Korean scene is even worse. Korea has 99% of the top players and yet the spend more time bashing it than they do talking about the good players.

That's your opinion, and you know what? It's totally ok.
You have a perfectly valid opinion and its absolutely fine.
But that doesn't mean that we should completely stop all all-star matches because you and the pros don't like it.
They said themselves on SOTG that they hardly watched the finals anyways.
Most of the paying customers love seeing a bit of personality and a bit of fun.
And thats totally fine too.

Some of the best BW times are watching the all-star team battles with relay team melee, offrace battles (bisu vs flash secretly offracing?), and general lightheartedness.
Fuck the idea that esports has to be serious all the time.

Well you make up for that by making 99% of your posts bashing foreign players and telling the world how hard Koreans pwn all.

I think it's a bit different between Broodwar and SC2.
I think you see enough "non-serious" play in SC2 scene so maybe that's why these showmatches aren't as fun or anything like that compared to the Broodwar all-star games.
But you are totally right!

Btw, everything is pointing to the direction of Tastosis contract not being reconducted. 4 casters in addition of tastosis is too much, and tastosis trashing GOM's events on air are hints.

I doubt it, people almost universally agree that Tasteless and Artosis are the best casting combo period, and that code S would suck without them.

Would be weird and maybe even devastating to get rid of their best casting duo (not all agree with this I know, but most do).
If its not a fantastic code A game or a foreigner playing I just will not watch that series if it isn't Wolf casting it. Or rather.. I'll watch it if i feel like i have the time but i wont be upset if i miss it.

Code S would still be great without them. They would be a big loss, and I'd be perhaps less likely to watch Violet vs Kean without them. But it would still have all the worlds best players so people would still watch.

To be honest, Tastosis' casting has gone downhill in the past few seasons.
Having 20/32 Terrans might do that to you, but even so. There's only so much more talking about other games I can handle. "oh god Artosis, have you played Chrono Trigger? That game is ACTUALLY legit."
Just talk about Starcraft 2 please.

I'll rephrase: it would suck to have code S without them.
