Jonathan “Kiwikaki” Garneau Interview
Jonathan “Kiwikaki” Garneau is no stranger to the North American scene, especially to those who followed him during his Warcraft III prime, where he joined big names like mTw. He was considered the best Canadian player of Warcraft III after he won the Canadian finals for WCG (World Cyber Games) twice. While he never had any big wins, he was considered a skilled player. Now, with Starcraft II being the next big RTS and being able to start playing the game since the beginning, Jonathan is dedicated to becoming one of the best players.
As of today, August 16th 2010, Jonathan is ranked 12th on the North American server and 29th on the European server. He is also a part of team ROOT since early beta. Jonathan will be competing in the group stage of the ESL and in the MLG at the end of August.

Definitely one of the most underrated players at the moment. Thanks
|
Thanks for the interview, the balance changes he proposed are very good I think. Good luck Kiwi

Wow, excellent interview, despite not answering my question(completely reasonable)
Thanks glacials, and thanks kiwikaki.
Was nice to hear his thoughts on balance, it mirrors my own feelings but I am not as good of a player so nice to hear it from someone near the top.
I found his balance ideas to be pretty neat.

Great interview. Agree with most of it, whould really like to see something added to the mothership. Also another highlevel player addressing the issue with Terran being imba. In b4 goldleague-terrans crying.

agreed about balance! even the colossus comments. Colossus with range is such a game-changer in PvP
|
His points about balance need to be discussed more. Particularly the point about marauder drops sniping tech and nexuses, there is currently little way of stopping that.
|
Feedback? I think the P counterpart is immortal drops. Also marine drops do just as much damage as marauder drops if not more if we're talking light units.
|
fantastic interview, tyvw
|
i like his balance tweaks
|
Well done Glacials! My question got answered !!!

I feel like I'm missing out on some poker -> starcraft skill correlation, so many players talk about playing poker if starcraft doesn't work out.

Basically two games where you have to sit in front of you computer all day if you want to become good, and once your somewhat decent you can play offline however few people actually do it.
This is concerning ~20year olds

great interview, covers a lot!
