So I was poking around the site and started noticing their stats page doesn't add up.

Top 5000 has 156 / 684 / 596 / 454

Now I'm no math genious, but I'm pretty sure those numbers don't add up to 5000...

Anybody know what causes this?

PS: oddly enough, the top 100 adds up to 42, I am ok with this.

Probably something off with limiting the population for the query analysis. Having done this for Sanctuary Stats and cut the data by a lot of different dimensions I can tell you it's a real pain to make sure it comes out for the right population

I assume it was the top 5k north america you were looking at .. I get the splits as

Where do you get those numbers. I don't see an option for top 5000 in the stats page.

It appears the site is showing those people from NA who are in the global top 5000.

there is a race profile page you can look at .. shows the racial profile at each point band within a league and also the population spread across the points. I posted details of it in our main thread on TL here

eg .. the race profile for all diamond leagues worldwide is

On the site when you hover over any segment it gives u race, number and %

Looks very very even to me. Zerg, being the swarm race, is the smallest in every single one. They have small units that take low supply right so it's fitting right??? there is nothing wrong there whatsoever correct?

The way I chose to display the top 5K is to have a table for all regions combined and then one for each region with each table being for the 5k for that selected target population. Main reason for doing it that way was because I was interested in seeing if there were any variations in the profile of that size group in each region (but it does make for a hell of a lot more calculations because you basically have to do a separate set of queries for each region :p)

I use IE 8 to view them with no problem so that is weird. Do you see anything at all (ie is it just that you see a single black bar for each entry?). You might want to force a refresh on your cache - the only thing I can think of is that the color names in the css aren't in your cached file but that's a long shot

Weird missed this topic, do you have an example of it happening? The numbers won't always be exact depending on what you select. If you do SEA 4v4 for example you probably won't have 5,000 people for it to fill out.

The numbers he quoted were for North America 1v1 Top 5000 setting .. I think the explanation is as Kantom said - ie Top 5000 selects tops 5000 from all regions
