Would be nice to see not just fixed pair 2v2 stats but 2v2 random too (apply that to 3v3 and 4v4 as well). 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 with random teams are harder than playing with fixed, friend mates (not to mention that the random teams will also play vs the fixed teams).

Wonderful site. Definitely bookmarked.
Easy to use, clean and very, very informative.
I need more laddertime apparently.

Ohh, good idea. When I redo the whole listing for rankings/searchings I'll definitely add that in.

Right now what I need to know is this: Can you do random partial teams or is it only one person? eg can you do 4v4 randoms with 1 friend and then it gives you 2 random people. And if so, someone who is doing that and can provide a battle.net link of it would help me implement this.

Works the same way as it did in beta. You can queue 3v3 or 4v4 with a friend and the remaining people will be random. You each get ranked as 3v3 or 4v4 random, not as a team when you do this.

I never did randoms in beta . By ranked as random you mean, if Foo and Bar queue together for 4vs4 random, Foo and Bar will gain points independently of each other, even if they queue together?

great site!
without wanting to dampen the mood I would like to know why on earth blizz hasn't been capable of providing something like this in the first place; I mean, do they really sit around like "oh well, somebody from the community will come up with something anyway"?

From witnessing their system changes first hand over and over again, I would say it's pretty clear that they are thinking more like "shit, players are able to see their true rankings through third party sites, what can we do to make this harder and harder?"

It's not about capability, it's about design.
The division system is designed for the psychological effect of "I'm #5 in bronze and if I keep trying I can be #1!" if they officially add rankings for everyone then that effect is broken because all they have to do is visit the armory to find out that instead of being #5 in bronze, they are actually #20,431 in bronze.
However, that design doesn't make everyone happy since people want to see their 'true' ranking and it also makes it harder for the top players to see how they stack up against each other. They've said some sort of system will be added for tracking the top players, but gave no ETA.
Requiring people to use third party sites means you are going out of your way to find out and you don't mind that you are #20,431 in your league. It also means Blizzard can say "These sites are relying on incomplete data so should be taken with a grain of salt" which is not entirely true, but it makes everyone at Blizzard happy and keeps them within their design intent.

They certainly keep changing their data format which makes updating the data interesting if you don't keep a close eye on it. I am also finding that if I just got to each ladder page and farm urls a lot of the ones collected over a session actually end up being incorrect which is a pain. I gotten to the point where no url actually gets into my final stats table unless the individual page has been validated whereas when I started I thought I could just take the links from the league tables as being valid

Yea the entire system is rather unstable right now, I'm not horribly surprised given how new it is. But it's certainly fun when you realize things like character codes were in the tooltips 2 (well, 3 now) days ago and now they are in the name.

David Kim - #1 player in the world? Not that it's too surprising, but he was just more low profile for the last months.
