You will likely be able to dl it from Battle.net. If not I am sure there will be torrents of the iso up in no time. Just dl that and mount with something like daemon tools to install.

I mean its gotta be pretty old if its got none ? ^^ But blizzard stated that there will be a downloadable version and I doubt you need the dvd to play (maybe for the campaign for video ?) so you can maybe just copy the client like in WoW.

I bought my computer when I got a beta key, because my old pc was unable to run it. I opted to save those couple hundred DKK and not get an optical drive for anything but installing windows. So I chose to install windows from a USB key on my current computer.

Actually, i'm running on a notebook, i can run the game perfectly on medium grafix. But on another note, if i just download the downloader and use the cd-key that i get from the actual physical, would that work?

I downloaded the digital version already and am going to pick up my copy at 12:00am at gamestop. im going to try abd plug in the key into the already downloaded version of sc2 and hope that it saves me a little time. but like someone else said you can get an external dvd drive for cheap. think like 30-40 dollars

Or if that doesnt work, create an .iso on a PC with a DVD drive and then transfer that .iso and mount it with Daemon Tools.

Well, I think if you download it off bnet, blizzard might assume that you don't have a dvd drive for it so i guess it shouldn't be a problem. We didn't need the disc for the campaigne in sc1 if i rmb correctly, and all you really need for bnet is a cd key. When you buy sc1, you are basically paying only for the cd key since you can download the game from a friend or off bnet and it can still play as long as your friend isn't on bnet with the same key. PS. Gaming laptops nowadays sometimes don't have DVD drives, like the alienware gaming laptops. A laptop without a CD/DVD drive is not old in anyway. But if it only has the CD drive then i guess you can only dl from bnet
