I was thinking about a website that I used to go to a long time ago that helped with mouse precision and improving your reflexes.
http://www.missionred.com/. (this is not an advertisement, lol).
Try reflex 1, it is the most challenging. First 6 levels are no sweat so just take your time, then begin to really focus around 8-9. That's where it gets difficult.
This helped me a lot with my mouse control, so maybe it will help you too.
under 300k points needs improvement
over 300k points is pretty satisfactory I suppose.
400k + is where I challenge you guys to get too.

Awesome link there. I was looking for this kind of mouse training to improve my cs aim and my wc3 micro, and at least it works well as warmup whenever you feel cold before tourneys or ladders.

245,000 on 3rd try. first was 78000 lool. More importatly my outside fingers were hurting after first time which is a sign your sensitivity is too high. If any of you felt any fatigue in your fingers lower your sensitivity. what happens is your hand tighten to stop the cursor because your overshooting your mark

Since misses are -5000, at 80% accuracy, if you misclick 1 our of 6 clicks, you are even on points. 5/6 = 83,3%

After I realized that if you let them disappear you lose only 1k, but if you misclick, you lose 5k, my score went up from like 50k to 350k :D

I keep on getting around 250-280k in the three tries I've done, with about 95% accuracy.
Honestly, the Reflex TE version gets harder much faster.

There's a few custom maps that let you practice your precision in game, probably better practice. Morrow made one, should be able to search for it.

Max I could get after a dozen tries was 126k... 89% accuracy. Oddly enough, I do better playing with my peripheral vision than I do when I try to focus. I think the harder part of the game is picking your targets. Closer =! better, you always wanna hit them in the order they pop up of you're likely to fall too far behind. I'll do better tomorrow...
I'm fairly sure you have to refresh it every time to get an accurate score. Every time I DIDN'T refresh, I would get super low or negative scores.

i used this site back in like 2002 when I was first getting "serious" about competitive play in WC3.. It helped a lot, one or two months of doing it everyday makes some drastic improvements.

Oh I see, I have "enhance pointer precision" acceleration on. I don't think it's a big deal, it seems to make things easier for me when I'm browsing or stuff, but I've had difficulties cloning ghosts before, and I get raped in fps when I'm not sniping but in ctf ut2k4 on the space map (long distances) I generally make some nice 2:1 k/d ratios and stop some game winning flag touchdowns. I don't know whether to turn mouse precision on or off On the one hand my skills at fps and rts cloning/selection would improve, on the other I have a more difficult time moving my mouse from one side of the screen to the other with no mouse accel, and I will have difficulty with some uber tiny movements.
I have a logitech mini... curse you decisions! Acceleration off.

Being exhausted, the best i've gotten is 250k - but i need to adjust sensitivity a lot since it differs a bunch from ingame.

Accuracy is more important than speed in this game. Round 8 with no misses is over 200k (which is about the time where it first really starts to pick up the pace).
First time I got 118k but got to round 10 or so. Just missed a lot lol.

This game/test is problematic because of resolution dependency. 640x480 resolution would be like 10 times easier than 2148x1536, due to the precision differences. If someone knows how to run it full screen it would be appreciated. (edit: seems like it's hard-coded size)

Yeah, accuracy counts for a LOT more than speed or how far you get... 249k fairly easily once I realized that.

Lol this game is HEAVILY biased towards lower resolutions. Don't feel bad if you have a high resolution and don't do well.
I have 1920x1080 and scored around 250k when I did well. My max was 265 k.
Then I turned down to resolution to 1280x768 and scored 365 k first try.
So yea, just go lower resolution and it's A LOT easier since the grid will expand to cover more of your screen

Ahh i remember playing this game way too much back in the day when Grrrrr (I think) first recommended it through an article.
Don't forget to hit the targets as fast as possible to make new ones spawn, that's the only way to get tons of points (that and a good mouse of course hehe).
My all time high is 586000 when I was playing SC1 a lot, 6-7 years ago.
There was some german guy, believe he was called IPS.Diablo, who could consistently get above 600k. Will look for a video of him and post it if I can find it.
Here's a link, he's not doing very well here not to mention his SC skillz are kinda lacking, but still fun to watch.
Edit: nm that, look at his high scores listing towards the end of the video, freaking 701 hits!!! with 36 misses... outrageous!

I'm lefty using a right handed mouse and it feels like this is helping me a lot.
I've been looking for good mouse training programs to try and help me with my mouse hand. It is THE limiting factor in my SC2 play.
I would like to sincerely thank the OP for this.
I can feel muscles burning into round 3 of my second try. Which means this should be REALLY good for training my muscle-memory reflex to be faster and more accurate. <3

Actually no. My wrist is always at the same place. The base doesn't move while my "hand" move a little around with the help of fingers, but my wrist is still stuck to the same place.
Edit : Tried playing again today, the trick is to not miss at all pass 6 or 7 levels. Just so you get an idea : 10 missed circles equals 50k points drop!

lol this sound is SO annoying
I had like barely 170k first try, then I disabled sound and got to 296k
this helicopter sound in the background is giving me a headache
and everytime you miss a circle (in the later stages on purpose) it makes this higly dramatic robotic dropping noise which just drives me nuts and makes me wanna smash my whole sound device. Maybe it's because I haven't slept enough, but damn, these sounds are really weird.
My mouse control is not very good though, fancy micro and splitting units up in a fight is really hard for me and it's a cool link to improve it thanks.

Most annoying part about this is that my normal desktop mouse sensitivity is much lower than my game sensitivity in the fps I play where aim/reaction time is most important >_>

Low resolution makes it near impossible to play on, and running at 30fps doesnt really help. Tripled my score by dropping resolution and DPI to a quarter of what they were, but i dont really want to train on a flash game (@30fps) past 350-400k score at least, the framerate is too limiting to see real consistent improvement at a super high level

when i was playing counter-strike at a high level i played that quite a bit and usually got to level 12, 15-17 on good days.
edit* my computer freezes a ton after level 7 so the highest i can get is 200k w/o it freezing and me getting 5 strikes while frozen

Hmm it bugs out for me. Like I click in the middle of a circle 3 times and it just lags out, or it freezes and then resumes 3 seconds later and gives me 5 free misses. Ping is fine, flash and java are updated, mouse works fine with everything else, must be the game. Was looking forward to having some fun with this TT

410k on the 3rd try, after 88k and 220k. Learning that missed clicks cost a *ton* helped (from 1st to 2nd) and learning that you don't earn more points for hitting smaller targets helped too (2nd to 3rd )

On a 2560x1600 screen this game is just painful x.x I adjusted my mouse sensitivity down and have my head right next to the screen and everything, but couldn't get above around 225k. Wish you could maximize

With the most recent version of Mac OSX, its not really possible to disable mouse acceleration, apart from lowering your overall sensitivity. :/

427k pts, 95% acc @ first attempt, but I feel like this would be a lot easier if I turned down resolution from 1680/1050, plus this sort of hurt my arm lol
489k pts, 98% acc with 800x600 resolution, now I'm done with this, my arm hurts -.-

I guess this is cool to do if you cant play SC but I dont understand why you would do this instead of playing if you do. I mean you are increasing accuracy and knowledge as you play where as this you just increase accuracy.

Strangely enough... my computer lags when i play this -.-'' It locks for like 5 seconds and then all of a sudden i have 4 misses with like 8 targets disappearing on my screen T.T

Same thing happens to me, I can't get over ~200k because by that time a single lag means game over ;_;

280k... My accuracy with my new mouse is improving, but I miss my intellimouse 3.0 where I could easily have gotten 300k+ The deathadder is just slightly to clunky for my hands.
