![]() I made a wallpaper based on the chat cloud function of sc2gears. Get it here: http://poehalcho.deviantart.com/#/d5hlwr8 + Show Spoiler + If anyone's interested I can upload a template and write a quick tut on how to make your own version. EDIT: I noticed a mistake caused by making the canvas larger. I fixed and I made a second version that elaborates a little on the whole square theme. New preview pic available

1. Open sc2gears -> perform a multi-rep analysis of desired replays -> double-click your name -> go to your chat words tab -> press the 'word cloud' button on the upper right side. 2. Pick desired font, minimum/maximum font sizes etc. It's advised to turn off use colours as it will be easier to photoshop it. In my case I used the font '7th Service Expanded' with minimum font size 5 and maximum 60. Keep pressing re-generate cloud until you get a composition you like. 3. Press Print screen and open up Photoshop. Create a big new wallpaper-size image with the same pixel ratio as your monitor (I used a 1600x900 16: 9 screen, but I made it 1920x1080 cause that way more people can use it) and paste the screenshot in. Delete all the edges and stuf that you don't need. Then use the magic wand tool to select all the black mass (if you're using a different font you may have to select the spaces inside some letters as well) and delete it, leaving you with just your wall of text. 4. Pick a background image (in my case I used a picture of space) and paste it in. It'll will serve as the main background image. 5. Create a new layer, select a basic brush, set it's hardness to 0% and make it nice and big (900px?). Choose a colour you think will fit well and make a nice big blob behind your wall of text. Then double click the layer with the blob, turn on the outerner glow and toy with all the options in there until it is to your liking. press OK. (this layer is behind your wall of text) 6. copy and paste that layer, move it in front of the wall of text, turn off the outer glow and turn on inner glow, once again play with the settings until it is to your liking and press OK. 7. Select the layer with your wall of text. Make a copy of the layer. Then open the filter menu and select blur>radial blur. set the blur to I guess about 8px?...I don't really remember (w/e floats your boat) and confirm it. Your text should now look like the small words are in the back and the big ones in the front. The filtered wall of text should probably be the higher layer. 8. Create yet again a new layer, this one is just over your background. Select your big brush again and pick black or w/e colour you want your sides to have. Proceed to make big black spots so that the left and right sides of your image are relatively clean. The reason for this is that most people keep their icons on those sides and it's kind of annoying when the background image has a lot going on in those areas. Technically your wall is finished now. You can take the following steps if you feel it's not quite there yet. 9. Select a brush that you believe will work well with your creation so far and select the colour white (that's what I used anyway). In my case I used a brush from the 2Bit-Twilight set (probably my favorite brush set). Set the spacing to around 50px? I think that's what I used for my brush. And spam it around in whatever way you feel might look good. Then apply the same Radial blur filter you used before. 10. If you feel your background looks low quality (grainy or jpegy) you can apply a 2px radial filter on it as well. it should even out most of the visible errors without affecting the overal look too greatly. You can also try using a Sketch, Stylize or Texture filter to spice up your image a little bit. In my case I used Texture -> patchwork with square size 4 and relief 8. And now you should probably be done. If you're a little familiar with PS this shouldn't really take much longer than 30 minutes to do. GG GL HF

If you get it to work, then you can get back to port 80. Port 80 is the standard HTTP port, maybe another of your running applications or services already took it. You can do a quick check if you open your localhost in your browser: http://localhost/

Also don't forget to change the IP in the address if viewing from outside your router.

To start streaming on a different port other than the default 80, you don't have to touch the router. You just have to change the server port inside Sc2gears, on the Private Video Streaming window. Change that to another random number, and if your port 80 is already in use, it should start on the changed port. If you get the same error message for any port number, than it is surely a firewall or another error not Sc2gears related. You can use this to test it locally (from your computer or from your local network). You only have to touch your router and setup a port forwarding, if you want to watch the stream from beyond your router. But to start streaming, it does not involve router configuration.

I have downloaded it (i think) But i am extremely lost and people keep telling me how good it is. I would love to try it. I am just not tech savvy. Thanks, Pm me for skype name if interested. ![]() Knightwulf The "installation" process is really just extracting the zip file you download. Check out the "How to use Sc2gears" videos on this page: https://sites.google.com/site/sc2gears/videos They show you how to download it, start it, set it up, and also some basic use cases.
