Day9 for straight up technical godliness and knowledge.

husky and HD are nice for entertaining filler audio as well as general ambiance during the match. Their commentating does create good ambiance to the game and are especially good for the uninitiated casual observers to listen to.
Bronze skipping straight to Diamond in 40 games retail release. Bnet 2.0 ladder really takes it's sweet time to think about that league placement.

I'll agree with the general theme in that Day9 and Tasteless are great. IMO for the specific reason that they play random, and they rarely, if ever, complain about imbalances, instead they find ways to work around them (wow how innovative :D), they also dissect the game (more Day9) so it's easily understandable and valuable if you're trying to learn the game, on top of all that they respect the little things, like overlooked micro movements, map positioning, and building canceling/scout counters. But yeah, my opinion is a bit biased because I have been listening to them for a long time.

I would support this petition!

Day[9] is just a must and miles above everyone else, and I haven't found a SC2 player yet who does not like his commentaries and does not find his daily shows both educational and entertaining.
Previously mentioned Chill, Diggity, DjWheat, TheGunRun (GLHF.tv), LzGamer, HD, Husky, Orb, Vyanta/Attero can all provide good commentary and really depends on your personal preferences. I like watching Artosis streams as well, he answers questions from spectators and it can be quite insightful.

The only one I seriously dislike is Rise, he's not that knowledgeable and I dislike his style of humor (but people who love the "low IQ, gross" style comedies will love him, and there's plenty of them out there, otherwise he wouldnt be so popular).

Husky and HD are the best in my very biased opinion , im sure day9 etc. are better to watch to learn the game but just not as entertaining to listen 2 as husky and HD..but again, its just personal opinion based on what ur looking for when listening to a commentary

there's a reason why in streamed tourneys whenever there's lag players say "everyone but day9 get out"

seen this on at least 2 seperate occasions now and i die laughing at how it must make the other commentators feel

but seriously day9 is easily the best caster, by many, many miles.

I like Sid's stream. Very knowledgable, and he commentates during his games, which is nice. (Get to hear the player's thought process about unit choices, what the other player's build order is signaling, etc.)

Heya! You can find both Crota and SaharaDrac are both SC:L staffers and you can find their commentaries on SC:L's channel:

If you have suggestions they're always open to comments/constructive criticism.

In my opinion djWHEAT and TotalBiscuit are the most professional and enjoyable commentators around.

I logged on BNet this morning and got this message instantly:
maxijazz: ur huge retard dude cause of ur whines on razer finals zotac admins banned on of our best commentators. enjoy thousands of haters now crygirl. thing is he wasnt lagging at all and never did, he was just alt-tabbed in preparation to match.
hopefully makers will get rid of u ahole ;S

So i guess who ever he is talking about must be a good commentator!

I like day9 the best i think, helps that he plays all the races to a fine level, and he's obviously a good talker - very talkative and i like listening to what he has to say.

I guess it depends on what you want to get from it - actually focusing on learning stuff, or mainly entertainment (I watch SC2 like others watch soccer basically =P) with the added bonus of maybye being able to pick up something you can use or investigate more later.

I agree HD and Husky are perhaps not perfect when it comes to all the small details of the techical stuff, but they make up for it with enthusiastic commentary, and thats probably even more important atleast in terms of entertainment value.

Day9 is overall the best commentator because hes a bit (or a lot for some) more enthusiastic and funny then HD and Husky, and light years ahead in strategy

Look, if the commentator doesn't yell:

"His extractor has been up for FOUR SECONDS and he still ISNT GATHERING GAS! WHAT POOR MICRO!"

Then you're not watching a hardcore commentator.

Though, if anyone knows of commentators would actually comment on the game instead of picking at the players, please let me know. It's really hard to listen to the current popular batch without rolling my eyes. Imagine watching a hockey game while the commentators go "Oh no... look at that mistep with the skate... If he had just lifted his foot an inch higher, he could have gotten a quicker boost. Also, they scored twice while I was talking about shit nobody cares about."
I am not nice.

I simply loved the DJ Wheat, Day9 and Chill combo yesterday.
A lot of professional insight.
Great humor and pretty interesting talk overall.

E.g. even DJ Wheat doesn't know as much as the others he did so well asking interesting questions or keeping the conversation going. Just great.

Regarding HD and Husky. Well they were pretty much the start for me. And watching SC2 Videos in High Quality was simply so cool.
But once I got into Beta, decent skilled myself and watched Day9 it just got so annoying to listen to wrong information / little strategy knowledge. Often I was like "Didn't you see him Feedback-Kill these 5 Medics? And now you even wonder how he could win this fight so easily?! Gah.."

But still props to them for all their engagement and they attract a lot players to SC2. Would be just nice if their SC2 knowledge / skills were a bit greater.
