On a french forum a guy had also this problem, or at least similar to this, and he found a way to fix it. I'm not sure it will work for everyone but it seems it worked for him.

He said the problem for him was the name of it's username folder. It was "Cédric" and he said the problem was the "é". He tried to watch the replay under another admin session called "admin0" and it worked ^^

Now i have no idea if that's the problem for you all but it worked for him so i thought i share the idea. Sorry if it doesn't help.

Yes, some people have reported success with this, but for the majority it seems to not solve anything. I guess it's a differnet problem with the same symptom.

Someone who has a normal username (using only ascii characters, no weird é characters) and has this problem, can you delete your Bnet shader cache from here:
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment
and see if that fixes the problem?

Given I deleted the correct folder(running XP so it's a slightly differnt path?) which I think I did, I still got the same issue.

Hmm...it's weird. I had this problem but the service update a few days ago solved this problem for me. :\

well its already reported and some1 from Blue said it will be fixed with next patch so i guess we have to be patient

I hope this gets fixed, I've just started getting this issue and it's really annoying because I want to watch some of Avilo's replays

It is odd that it's been affecting Australians (and other people with - you would think - English language OS:es) tho, so maybe your problem is different.

i don't have odd characters in my file paths and was still getting the mod data error for replays.

what fixed it for me was adding renamed map files in documents\starcraft 2 beta\maps from *.s2ma to *.sc2map. (map packs floating around seem to have the former)

after doing that, i haven't found a single patch 10+ replay that i couldn't watch.

Arrrgh! i just played i game, tried to watch it and this error msg came up, ive done everything suggested in this thread but to no success. Any suggestions?
