So, I'll just stop doing it. You fucking paint me as this bad guy... and that's not the case at all.
Fuck it.
To be honest there were a lot of factors why the discussion went the way it went and the guests were to be given blame to an extent, but to say that you couldn't held accountable on anything is not true. As the host you were the moderator of the discussion. You were supposed to be the failsafe if the discussion went haywire. The blame of the bad debate should go on all 3 parties.
To be honest Wheat, you should improve on your moderating skills but you shouldn't stop having guests on the show. The episode was probably the most interesting episode of the show, but it could have been so much better if the debate hadn't gone the road it did.

The overall issue is that the EG director thinks Milkis' job was to "journalistically" follow-up on the story when he's simply the translator
I think that's the overall issue and problem here. All fucked-up things aside, it all started when the director misinterprets Milkis role and then runs with it to lay down everything else he says.

Your facial expressions at 1h55min30sec~ when Milkis is basically telling Alex what to do is priceless haha. I think Alex was really professional throughout the show, even though I don't agree with everything he said. Good luck in future shows, I'll defiantly be watching.

Unfortunately, given the situation, Milkis' role was that of an guest interviewer, so you can't really put the blame solely on the director. It was an interview situation, like it or not, and if he can't do the job, then he shouldn't have been there.

you all realize that EG is setting themselves up for their namesake... Evil...they are the bad guys
But this is a great thing for the scene in general. Think of the WWF.. there had to be the 'bad guys' in order for the 'heroes' to shine... I used to think it would be the west vs. the Koreans... but now I can't wait for the inevitable team Liquid, team EG showdown... get cooler !
when the lines are drawn, I just wonder what side DJ Wheat will be on

Thanks yo, just remember members of the community get as fired up / passionate about things and also say things they regret in the heat of the moment. Everybody has their moments when they speak with their feelings instead of their brain, its just human nature.

Thank you djWHEAT for what you do for Esports. You are awesome and I couldnt live without all your shows. Of course there are always things you can improve, but we love your dedication and your passion. You did your best and you learned a lot from the last episode. Next time, you will deal with this type of situation a lot better, and its the only thing that matter. We are really thankful that you took the time to try to explain the whole situation between EG and TSL.

Don't worry Wheat. The true satisfied and happy customers are those who are discussing the issue, not your moderation or hosting skills, you have your experience and intelligence to constructively criticize yourself.
You're doing well, see you next time :3!

I agree with the point that Alex was trying to make. TL is very nearly unique in that it is the central hub of a community while being almost completely volunteer driven. What I think Alex was trying to say is that news and articles generated and translated by TL are largely viewed as Official. As such the articles that come out here can, and often do, have real consequences and cause real backlash. When an article comes out written with an obvious bias or given a spin from the offset, the community will largely accept that point of view out of hand and one side will be left fighting an uphill battle just to plead their case.
Asking the TL community to take a more responsible and journalistic approach to their articles is perfectly reasonable. If they aren't willing to try to get both sides of the story, then they should either form their article to be non-biased, or state their biases up front and plainly, making certain that they read as opinions.
The majority of people don't think critically of an article that they consider Official, as many on TL are. Many will believe the first view given to them if an alternative isn't given, and as the saying goes, "The first impression is a lasting one". When the article is original in addition to being "Official", the issue is compounded as that article will be the most quoted and copied with all of its bias and spin intact.

I listened to a short segment in the show and hoped to get a clearer picture on this huge mess but was so busy facepalming at the EG rep's senseless rambling on how sorry he felt towards Milkis. From what I heard, he's really apologetic for kind of labelling Milkis as an irresponsible journalist (wtf lol?), but then he wasn't really accusing Milkis or anything so don't be misunderstand his kind intentions. He's also thankful for being able to speak to Milkis. I could see that DJWheat was trying hard to control the situation by agreeing with everything said, but sometimes when the guest spews crap he gotta ask the guest to move on. Poor Milkis probably too angry to think of a proper reply to the EG rep. I don't know how well EG runs as an organisation but they really have an incompetent PR team, if it actually exists.

Milkis did not write the article, he only translated a korean source. EG should've responded more quickly to this. Their statement would most definitely be included in the OP of the thread. That's why companies out there act fast to dispel rumours that damage their reputations. They don't wait for days and days and when the community asks to hear from them, nothing.

There are no rumors or bias in the article
There is no poor journalism as far as I can read. On TL's part at least, no.
