In BW there were times when you actually wanted to make archons instantly to make some sort of timing attack, for example. Now they are just..There.. Hate that sort of view from Blizzard Agreed. Plus infested cc makes life easier to take down expos. The only almost completely and non worthy unit in BW is the scout. Scouts suck, they always sucked and they will always suck, even if we kept playinf the game another 10 years. I can definitly see queens becoming standart one day. I think they will fix archons in SC2. | ||

If you decrease the amount of larva spawned by the queen, then you solve the roach and muta issue. I watched the Liquibet match today between Ret and Infernal; Infernal was getting stomped unless ret into a predictable roach build. Thing was, it's so easy for zergs to suddenly change unit composition, that when ret frightened Infernal with a few roaches and Infernal produced many immortals, then Ret was able to produce a Spire and produce a massive amount of mutalisks in just a few minutes. Now, Infernal could have built sentries to counter mutalisk, but mutalisk are far more agile than sentries and could simply avoid encountering them while harrassing the workers here and there. I think building Pheonixes would be a great answer. I'm not sure if they build fast enough. Pheonixes are an underestimated unit that most players never seem to remember. Pheonixes can be powerful and are far superior to mutalisk 1 on 1, however, mutalisk can produce faster due to the zerg's large amount of larva. However, protoss do have chrono boost; they could make better use of it. Over-all, I think the number of larva spawned could be toned down, and that would make all the difference. IT would put more pressure on the zerg economy and army. | ||
