It was his first loss in 2v2!

Watched this Live, it was Fantastic.

Just what a difference a little bit of harass of probes does at the beginning of the game and how it translates to mid and endgame is mindblowing.

Big congrats guys. Gonna watch that replay a few times.

I tuned in to the stream just when the game was over. Watched the replay though, very nice. Intelligent use of force fields really makes a difference. Be it cutting their army in half, protecting yourself from zealots, or preventing them from fleeing.

why you even read that chat-shit, you should have seen the spamming that started the second those 12 year old panty-boys heard a womens voice in the live stream, there is some serious mod power needed for that stream chat

I've just been playing on Shauni's. I played like at least 12 hours worth of streaming games today (played like 6 more hours without stream before that I think). Need to go to sleep now as I pulled an all nighter last night.

I'm trying to get my livestream account verified so I can use my own account and not keep bothering shauni by using his account, but the livestream guys are bein jerks.

As for putting it on youtube, the auto-save feature on livestream is taking forever to process the video, probably because I think i didn't interrupt teh stream for at least a couple hours and it's probably taking a while to deal with it. If it finishes setting the vid up and I can figure out a way to download it i'll upload it to youtube. When I eventually am able to do this my voice and haemonculus's voice discussing what we're doing on vent should be in the video

am I the only one who thinks the walls from multiple sentry's, and especially if there is a protoss on either side is a bit to "meh", to a point where the game starts revolving around "who can get the most (good) walls off"

It was a gimmick that was fun to see in the beginning, but after seeing orb's stream for a long while I really started to get tired of them, and I never had that feeling about any sc1 units/ability's/plays.

Oh I see. I just watched the replay and, well, job well done! I think it's among the few games I've seen that are alert and have a rhythm and not macro till the 10th minute and then attack. Orb, your macro was looking real nice. It really was a great game after which I'm thinking that Force Field is possibly the coolest among the new abilities, micro-wise.

FF is looking crazy. What kind of damage does the sentry do right now? When I first saw the unit, I thought - these are some crazy abilities, but there's no way this unit is going to be viable en masse as the bulk of your army. Right now though, they seem pretty powerful and easily accessible, plus the forcefield micro (if you can call it that with the smart cast) is making them rather decisive in what seems to be WAY too many battles. I think there's definitely some role confusion between them and the (underpowered?) stalker right now, and would like to see the sentry heading towards being a more defensive/supporting unit.

Plus I see SO MUCH more potential in blink micro if someone's got the APM to maneuver 2-3 groups of stalkers once they get on-par with other units stats wise <3.

Amazing game. FF is nuts. Sentry seems viable to be almost exclusively used like they did with this (excess minerals in zealots). But I would like to see how they fair against Stalkers. I'm guessing that the higher in tech players get the more supportive and less central the Sentry can be used.

To be fair to Kim, he's played very few 2v2 on beta, this was a bad game for him (they early rushed him 2v1 and his ally was terrible at responding) and while Orb and Rhav aren't spectacular players, they are no slouches either.

His partner was absolutely terrible in the beginning, which probably cost him the game ^_^

I'm not saying he's unbeatable, but it just seems like Orb and Rhavanna, while they are formidable players, wouldn't be able to secure themselves as easy of a victory with that raid if his partner would actually move out before half his probes were destroyed.

Quite the opposite actually. His partner needed to wait until he had a somewhat sizable force before coming to help. His marines were coming to help in little groups of 3 or 4, and speedlings and a few zealots were just chomping them all up before they could get anywhere.

Congratulations and a neat contribution to those of us without keys.

I am, however, disgusted by how messy the battles are and how easy the macro seems to be atm.
Note "seems", since I haven't played it myself.

Again; Thanks a ton for the upload! Still worried about the game as an esport

Cool game. This was one of the few games I watched that actually felt like Starcraft. (well, part from the 1base-6gate and the lack of unit mass @ 160 supply). But everything else was right on the spot. Nice build, nice strategy, nice micro and attacking, timing, everything. It really really felt like Starcraft. Thanks!
Im not a n00b, I just play like one.

Congrats, very cool game! The battles are looking neat, especially with the force field micro. Theoretically that spell could create absolutely hilarious situations (kind of like stasised units on ramps etc).
One question I have is why people are not using high templars more? They should be pretty powerful in those mass low tier units situations.

And Orb really does sound like Edward Norton lol

No problemo. How's your 2v2 team doing now, just out of curiosity? I've gotten 2 platinum arranged 2v2 teams now by abusing proxy gateways. Now I may have to learn to actually play. =P
