Just keep scouting, with more experience you will notice that a 4 gate usually means he saves chronoboost and he will be chronoboosting his warpgate tech alot, a gas at the same time a factory comes up for terran usually means banshee play or 2 fac play blue hellion play, etc. Focus on your macro, you can get into diamond by just being able to macro well. | ||

Scouting, strategy, micro etc comes afterwards at higher levels, shouldn't be worrying so much about that yet, aside from obviously sending out periodic workers to check whats up | ||

I'd consider having a look at the Day[9]/djWheat coaching session daily from a couple weeks ago, where Day[9] gets on Wheat about using hotkeys to keep making stuff while following an army or a scout around the map, but WITHOUT looking at your base. You're going to find that this initially feels very weird and takes a good deal of effort to practice, but once it's second nature, you'll find you're building tons of workers and units you didn't know you could, while still getting information from what scouts or your army sees. This suggestion comes back to what other people are getting at when they say "macro macro macro," because "macro" is short for "keep buildings workers, don't queue workers or units up on production buildings, keep building units, don't get supply blocked." Also, daily #132, "Back to the Basics," is where you should really start. | ||

I'd donate if I wasn't a poor college student myself. I hope he will find the time to be able to continue on doing Wednesday night fights, and hopefully people will keep donating him money especially since he said he pays those 100 bucks himself for the winner of Wednesday night fights. He does so much for this community, it's incredible. He really is the ambassador of eSports. | ||
