[H] ZvP Macro game.

Hi there, I lost this Macro game vs a Protoss player. He was low masters and I am a very low level diamond player. Anyway I have been losing many games like this and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips as to how to beat this, Or different tech paths I should of went down etc. Maybe a more optimal opening for a bigger edge or what have you.

game essentially stops at the 26th minute mark as he already won and I stop trying, and just messing around with mass curroptors.

Analysis: I did not in fact play to the best of my ability, missing injects* and overlords at some points, but even when I do I still lose to this same type play.

This protoss played extremely passive never attacking until 4 bases. At around the ~13:30 minute mark I had an army advantage but chose to back off, due to too many force fields. Maybe I should of engaged more, or forcing more energy from sentries?

at ~21:30 minute mark I killed his 5th while having my own and thought I had a sizeable lead. I attacked and lost everything which eventually brought the end of the game.

Should I of built more corrupters? infesters? or an earlier attack?

* I know I could of hit more injects which would of helped more, and that I am a very bad player. But I know I need to work on my macro, and am looking more so for what strategies/compositions/manuevers are good vs this play so that when I do get better at macro I can use the advice given.

Also please no balance complaints, I got outplayed and obviously neither of us are near pro level's so there are many things I can improve on which would of resulted in a win.

Writing this as I watch

I think honestly you were ahead for a large part of the game and going into the lategame you had really strong army and much better upgrades

At the 15 minute you snipe his 4th and if you just make a roach, hydra corrupter army you can just roll over him he only has +1 attack.

However you decide to build up again

Scouting him going to tempest is important but failing that I think your best bet was maybe giving up a few roaches in run bys to give you time and filling out the composition with infestors or hydralisks along with your corrupters.

The moment you lose the game is when that huge pack of roaches dies for nothing at the rebuilt 5th base. Keep that army alive and build corrupters you can probably win.

Okay that makes sense thanks. Il have to keep that in mind next game. And I need to improve scouting as you're right I had no idea about the tempests until I saw them.
