exactly what mix of crap do you make to harass zerg out of stargate now? oracles mana to worker kill conversion rate is better than phoenix, but phoenix is required to kill queens, but voids don't kill them as fast anymore anyway? I guess you could make a legit case for making a little bit of all three

He didn't say everyone got better detection, he said everyone has decent detection. Standard TvP builds get an early engineering bay and multiple orbital commands. If you get caught with no detection vs. a DT rush, you deserve to lose. If you're going mech you probably want an early raven for PDD vs. early stalker aggression or blink play anyway.


Also scans. Lets not forget scans. Those are pretty good.

I'm so happy at Blizzard's pro-active stance regarding units in HoTS. I love the total re-vamp and all the new options. I'm certain that some things will be imbalanced at the start, but given Blizzards patching frequency things will settle down well.

Units in SC2 always use the attack that does more damage when they have multiple options for attacks. That's why when you instruct a thor to auto attack and there are mutas being micro'd around, they often spin in circles doing nothing: because when the mutas clump their anti-air is better, but when they aren't their anti-ground is better. Thors will always use their anti-ground vs. colossus because it does so much more damage.

Wow can't believe they made such massive changes... I like it!

Lol at all the zerg's preemptive whining...relax, I dont think zergs were hard done by in this patch. Medivacs do some pretty sick now, but the numbers can easily be tuned.

Seems like Terran finally got some late game changes which is nice.

Love the infestor and DT changes!

And haha vortex...

I like pretty much all the changes.

Vortex seems dumb. Nobody's going to build a 400/400 unit to spend 100 energy and kill a single infestor. Even if you vortexed two infestors, you wouldn't have spent the money that it was worth getting a mothership for.

If Vortex was ~50 energy, or even 25 with a cooldown, that would be really interesting.

remember the last marine of a drop between 2 minerals staying up pretty long, while 2-3 Zerglings attack it... well you might get familiar with him even more, since he is never going to die now... Pretty sure the medivac heal buff is way too much

Zerg:

Zerg got kicked in Infestor-Nuts: 4 direct nerfs at a time... this is madness. I love the fungal-projectile and the fewer HP on Eggs, but getting no upgrades is pretty nuts. I think infestor might got overnerfd

Ultralisk change made me happy for the good dmg output against everything (stupid marines blocking mighty claws... nomnom) but at the same time the burrow charge did help with their clumsyness and they could actually connect. We will see.

Toss:

I like the overall changes, especially the oracle once.
But Mothership?? why would you ever get one? The ability is plein stupid, its not usefull, its not interesting, just stupid. At least make it a viable fighting unit.

Terran:

Medivac upgrade is stupid, the booster might be "okay"

wtf... Widowmine burrow upgrade??? With this upgrade you will be able to perform pretty ridicoulos stuff.... I doubt that will stay like that.


Overall really a brave patch, which is sth I like. Obviuously with some concerns but some good ideas.

Thats the point. The mother ship core is better in every way, which is how it should be. It is the protoss queen.
