"The Evacuation" Achievement issue

In the "Evacuation" mission, where you first meet the doctor and help her protect civilian transports, there is an achievement for not losing or salvaging any buildings. I have played the mission countless times (on hard difficulty) and I never noticed every losing a building, yet the statistic in the end always says that I have lost a single one somewhere.

Does anyone know where this mysterious building might be? I don't lose any in my base and I always manage to protect the two bunkers that are lining the road. Is there another bunker somewhere that I never found?

There is no secret building. About the only thing I can think of is, assuming you actually do manage to keep both bunkers alive till the cutscene (I suspect your lower bunker is dying as you wait for the cutscene to start), is that if you have built something over a nydus worm's spot I _think_ the worm will destroy it. I don't remember if there are even nydus worms in the cutscene or not, though.

You guarding the bunkers the ENTIRE time? Even after the last transport is unloading? I don't recall them ever really attacking the base.

Has anyone actually gone and detailed the precise locations where the worms spawn? I want to go back and get this achievement but I don't want to waste 20 minutes accidentally putting structures in places that are going to get destroyed by worms during the cutscene.

EDIT: Oh heh, wrong mission also. Confused it with Zero Hour.

Uh just keep like 12 marines/medics by each bunker and you're solid. The worms don't continuously spew reinforcements anyways. The cutscene for The Evacuation mission in particular is not related to your specific game, like Zero Hour was.

The one I had a problem with the first few times was that I wouldn't get to the upper bunker on the route before the first top zerg wave spawned; I didn't really realize it was there till I lost it a few times.

I had this same issue and replayed the mission four or five times til I read here on TL that, supposedly there is a bug or something else causing an issue with the bunkers, the solution was not to build additional bunkers, turrets or buildings when playing this map. Just fill them, add som SCV to repair, beware of the banelings toward the last two transports, and add 5-10 marines or so as a blockade infront of the bunkers and take out the worms near the end. This did the trick for me.

Before I managed to make it I always lost one building even tho I was sure I never lost anything except during the cutscene and those buildings doesn't count (if destroyed during the cutscene).

So in short: no additional bunkers or turrets, just add a blockade of units and fill the ones placed allready. This should work.

I think so, I did most of the achievements on brutal but I went back and did this one on hard, I remember there being 1-2 muta waves

Pretty easy though on hard, just push farther than both bridges and keep a marine-medic ball beyond the bridge, then patrol a few marines in your base, keep a few marines by where the mutas attack

It happened to me once all the buildings had survived yet I did not get the achievement, I tried it again this morning and I got the achievement, I think it has to do with the bottom bunker dying during the cut scene or something.

Maybe if you actually read through the OP and didn't skim through it, you wouldn't look silly.

The OP is talking about "The Evacuation" not "Zero Hour".

@OP: Did you cancel any buildings in construction? That is counted towards the "salvaged" buildings.

Edit: Also, if you've watched the cutscene already. (Which I'm assuming you have.) You can just hit Esc to skip it and jump to the Mission Completed screen, then you won't need to make sure your buildings survive through the cutscene without your attention.

I failed the achievement two times today, without losing any estructure. The second time i didn't built any other bunker or turret, nor cancelled any building.

Any other advice for making this count?
I should warn you, getting what you want and being happy are two quite different things.

The tip for making this achievement is to bring a SCV with you when the first transport is moving out

At the starport there is a bunker that usually burns to the ground if you ain't prepared for it. After you "saved that" build another bunker at the same spot with another 4 marines in it.

Build 2 bunkers at each "entrance" that the zerg comes from. Keep 2-3 SCV's on auto repair at each of the bunker placements. After that its piss easy, put all of your force on patrol and go AFK? :D

I actually missed that achievement because I salvaged the 2 bunkers on top of the ramp ._.

Lifting off a Barracks, cancelling an Add-on, or losing the Northern Bunker before you get to that part of the map, all count as losing a building. I'm not 100% sure on lifting off, but my first attempt at this I had 3 structure losses and definitely didn't let anything die. I did, however, have a total of 3 barracks (including the one I started with) and I moved all of them from their original location.

completely bugged mission. i haven't lost any building yet it says i did. the mission is one of the easiest you can hardly lose since there are so few enemy units attacking.

I made 2 extra bunkers and got it. If you want this achievement just keep saving...
