I've completed 18 missions on brutal as of this morning, but in the list for the "complete every campaign mission on brutal" achievement it has only given me credit for 12 of them. Has this happened to anyone else? With maybe one or two exceptions, brutal is the ONLY difficulty I have played anything on.

Not looking forward to having to re-play a specific few of them just yet.

If you lose your connection to battle.net, achievements will be disabled. It really sucks =\

This has happened to me too. Battle.net 0.2 loves to disconnect you during the load time between missions and you have to fully sign off and reconnect to be able to get achievements.

Ive got the reverse of this problem. The Brutal completionist has completely tracked the missions Ive completed, however the brutal 5 and beyond arn't lighting up, they only list 1 as being complete. Even though more missions are listed under completionist as completed...

Mate if you have completed any mission no lower dificulty AFTER brutal your counter will reset..

Don't think thats it, I've only been doing brutal difficulty. Certainly haven't completed any missions on different difficulty settings.

Yup, it happens to me a lot too. It's very lame. I disconnect very often and considering many missions have timers, or some other b.s. it can take a while to actually complete each one.

I don't think Blizzard thought this out properly. It's very annoying.

Yeah the first time it disconnected me, I lost 3 solid hours of play time and missions done -.- before I noticed that I got D/Ced. It really sucks. After that I just checked the "friends list" at the start if every mission =/

Or you could be like me and have the opposite happen. I finished my 15th brutal mission and the game decided to give me the 20 and 25 achievements as well for brutal and hard...

This is happening to plenty of people, I got the kerrigan unlocked but my brutal achievement wasn't recording, T.T I even tried replaying the missions and they still weren't recording.

If you didn't complete the requirements to get the first achievement in brutal then you will not get credit in the meta achievement, apprently it doesn't track actually finishing it, but the achievement itself and the difficulty you got the achievement on.

Unless you actually lost connection, Bnet has nothing to do with this.

You can do the first mission, save right before you win, and just reload it, finish the mission. Repeat till you get achievement for 25wins. It should work.

Seems I missed this topic when made my own about very same issue. Seems like a bug that everyone have, so stressing about it won't help. I don't think it relates to disconnecting. I haven't lost track on any other ach, and bnet hasn't informed that I'd have disced. Also oddly my progress went from 16brutal to 23 by doing one mission. In reality at that point I had 27brutal done on kerrigan-icon ach. My theory is that it only updates the stats when you make progress in current campaign.

Since WoL:Brutal ach doesn't have tracker of what you've completed, it's pretty hard. I have absolutely no clue what the game has and hasn't tracked. Game shows 23/25 brutal, while I've done all but secret mission according to LibCompletionist:Brutal.

Just tested this, even if I complete all main and bonus objectives on maps that haven't already been counted the game will still not increment my count. Was connected to battle.net the entire time as i was chatting with another player.

I too have had some problems getting the achievements on brutal. There was many "do this on normal or hard" but when I have done it on brutal it just ignores me.

I can confirm that you DONT need to do secondary objectives on brutal to have the mission count.

Yeah, it was because I disconnected a few times. I've finished the campaign on brutal now, just need to re-play the few I got disconnected on. I'm going to try re-loading the autosaves from each of those missions to see if I can avoid replaying the entire thing.

I had the exact same problem. Here's how I fixed it:
1. Complete a mission which you haven't yet. This will ensure that the completed mission list in the Mission Archives correctly displays which ones it's registered as you having completed Brutal for.
2. Go to the Mission Archives on the Bridge.
3. Play some listed levels on Brutal which show as not having been completed yet on Brutal.
4. Complete a mission which you haven't yet.

I've run the above steps twice, completing 2 different missing missions both times for step #3. My achievement has updated correctly both times.

If you've already completed all the missions, then I don't know how to help
