Hansi Flick's side are unbeaten across all competitions in 2025 - that is 23 games without a defeat and they have won 19 of those games.
It is their best unbeaten start to a calendar year in their history.
They won six of their eight games in the league phase this season to finish second - only two points behind table toppers Liverpool.
Barca have won five different games by a margin of at least three goals this season and it's the first time they have done so in a major European competition. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/live/c5yr06pwzyyt?post=asset:b959f883-c919-4083-a5d4-eed185b602bf#postFlick's Barca crushing records more than the golden age of Barca. He is such a great coach It's impressive. Makes you wonder why he did not work out as coach for Germany.

you can't make this up
pre-match: onana talks some crap about lyon, matic claps back saying that onana is united's ever worse goalkeeper. onana responds by saying "at least i've won cups"
guess who was at fault for letting in lyon's two goals tonight
lmaoooooooo

matic is 100% correct. ten hag won us 2 cups and i still rank him as one of our worst managers ever down with van gaal because of the way he treated de gea and brought in this fraud. absolute disaster.
interestingly both of our dutch managers' time at united went very similarly and to me are not remembered in a good light for the exact same reasons despite their cup successes

I think some pretty easy answers: - Wirtz and Musiala were too young - Bundesliga had some pretty bad trainers (Stuttgart Hoeness (Stiller, Mittelstädt, Führich, Leweling, Anton), Leverkusen Alonso (Tah, Andrich), Heidenheim Schmidt (Kleindienst)), the current ones improved quality of German national squad a lot - Refusal to play Kimmich as right back
I prolly missed something

Generally speaking I try to avoid making fun of Onana at this point. The guy could be a total mental wreck considering how many mistakes he keeps on making week after week.
Then again, he himself seems to stir up the trash talk. Maybe he's either he's completely immune to this or trying to turn it into some sort of resource?

Christ this is the worst season of FPL I've ever had. Everything I touch turns to shit
Asensio misses TWO pens

In today's episode of UCL qualification is lava: Chelsea is 0-2 down vs Ipswich. Was 0-3 for a second apparently, but VAR pulled one back.

Is this a debutante in goal for Utd?

i don't understand bayindir. he looked great vs arsenal in the fa cup but besides that he's looked awful. no wonder manager's keep picking onana.
frankly we might as well just roll out the corpse of tom heaton again lyon on thursday.

That Mbabbe tackle on Sunday looks really nasty. Current rumor is that he's going to get just one match suspension for that.
I didn't really expect him to loose his head when there's still plenty to play on. As much as you can critique his work rate and such, he's usually seemed pretty level-headed on and off the pitch.

Meanwhile Lewandowski poked his nose and got 3-game ban.
The bias is so obvious it is hilarious. If I remember well Casemiro never got a red card with Real Madrid and got two when he arrived MUnited.

Champions League week!
Hoping for some desperate attacking footie. Though the only real chance I see is for Bayern to make the turnaround happen.

Honestly looking forward to Europa League more this week. 3 of the 4 ties are on a knife's edge and even Lazio are at home.
Will be very funny if Spurs make it through. Hoping to see Athletic Club and Bodo Glimt get through as well

Now it’s pick between the guy who fucked up last game, or the guy who did the game before

That's the thing. If you watched Real Madrid all those years weekly in la liga he did a lot of riculous fouls deserving red cards or at least double yellow cards, but he was a kind of spoiled player by the Spanish referees for some reason.
