He's overrating himself. The problem is that you have to build the team around him and he has massive wages. That'd be fine for a young Ronaldo but clubs can't justify that anymore for a 36 year old.
The impressive thing is that there's still rumors (I assume getting spread from his agent's side?) that he desperately wants to join Bayern. After 5 public statements from Bayern officials though I think the media at large have finally caught wind of the fact that Ronaldo will probably not play Bundesliga this year.

That depends where you get the news from (as in local sources or international media). That shouldn't be from his agent side but more like news' sites trying to click bait to the last penny on that.
In Portugal the only 2 alternatives in the media since last week are Sporting and getting stuck with United (Atletico was briefly spoken about last week but just to note the impossibility of the operation).
Not sure how much it echoed in international press but the Sporting alternative really got traction 2 weeks ago with the whole "CRonaldo's kids were registered in a Lisbon school"...together with the "there is nowhere else left" and the "utd might let him go on a loan if he signs an extension".
Yeah good lord if he plays now its just stupid. Can't defend him with these kind of allegations and potential evidence (this could be fake, u would hope not though).
Hope he is pulled out of the spotlight and police do there work as fast as they can to sort this all out, if he is guilty send him away with Mendy forever.
He had 3 separate incidents under investigation, April , June and July 2021. The June charge has been dropped, those tweets look like the July one? If those pictures are legit he's in deep trouble.
Does this mean Arsenal need to recruit a new holding midfielder? Who would they possibly go after?
Arsenal is still insisting on playing him unless/until he is actually charged with something, presuming this guardian piece was about him and not some other case.

Yeah I think they might have to change their mind when fans go to games knowing about this.
Can't even enjoy Arsenal winning 6-0 earlier. What a travesty
Looking into UK law, apparently if Arsenal were to stop playing him because of the allegations, he could sue for defamation of character since he hasn't been formally charged, but still
On the back of some absolutely abyssmal refereeing in the finals, "It's coming home - women's edition™" is a smashing success. Sad ending to an overall good showing of women's football.

The ref was equally terrible for both teams imo. England have played really well this tournament and deserved the win, although the final itself could've gone either way. I thought Germany were going to win it at the end but England got a second wind that came out of nowhere.

She was terrible overall for sure. But in a world with VAR there should have been no way for the game to go on without a penalty against England early on in the game. So the whole refereeing team failed miserably.
Germany ultimately was held back by the fact that 3 of their best players couldn't play the final and a 4th didn't have the energy to make it past 90 minutes. When you're down 4 players from your best possible team in overtime you're bound to lose control imo.
