He seems to have disappeared from news since he left Liverpool Can had a great start playing as DM, tried to take/took a leader role next to Hummels. The plan was that he should be integrated into the 5-at-the-back - and he himself said it's his stronger position - but when that happened he was awful again and again. Didn't help much that the team's performance is subpar since covid-break. As a cb he'd at best be my 4th choice, as a dm probably my 3rd choice. He's loud, he's motivated but his performance since around his 10th game with us isn't noteworthy.

Still, Atlético is going to be hard to catch. Suarez is giving them a lot of points (9 goals in 12 matches). And Bartomeu gave them Suarez for free...

A team I've legitimately never heard of, and which normally plays in League Two. (That is - premier league, championship, league one, league two.) My initial thought was that they're just focusing on PL and avoiding relegation at the cost of all competitions, but I think they're looking quite safe there too.

And for some reason he's ended up at big clubs his entire career I neither follow the German national team nor Juventus and thinking about Liverpool-dm my mind stops at Henderson and Milner, so it's the same for me. Or rather: I couldn't name a specific strength of his that puts him above the competition looking at top20-teams in europe.

He is significantly better than Witsel and Delaney and has been an incredible steal for Dortmund (when they use him in the midfield).

I feel that our DM needs Creativity (Bellingham is better at that) and Consistency (Delaney is better at that). I would easily have him as a first dm-sub when needed.

Whats the connection, do they have deals with various sports academies there? Not to my knowledge, I’m sure most top European clubs are aware of the cream of the crop of the upcoming US talents. Given how the league over there is structured I wonder if that makes transfers easier to get done cheaply or more difficult? It’s a rapidly improving market too in terms of the players the US is pumping out. Not many other places in the world with the resources the US has that football still has so much room to grow into. Must be an exciting time to be an American football fan what with the likes of Pulisic and Reyna strutting their stuff.

Burnley, placed 16th, currently have fewer conceded goals than any of the top 4 teams. Maybe I chose the wrong game to watch. :'(

Edit: also the Mcguire goal getting called off seems incredibly harsh. There is that much contact every time two players challenge for the same header.
