also pick of the youth this season has been shola shoretire, 16 year old midfielder but i don't think he's physically able to match-up with the first team just yet unfortunately.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing John Stones having a few good games for City. I was so worried they were going to sell him. I hope he will get a contract extension and stay for many more years there because he will create problems for their backline once his run is over

Barcelona has no money to pay or salaries, no president to sign any contracts. If everything goes well (which I do not believe), they still have to renew Messi's contract. And every single day there is speculation that he is interested in one or the other engagement.

West Ham have sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax at a hefty loss.

Sebastien Haller is officially the most expensive player in Dutch football history after completing his move to Ajax from West Ham United.

The Ivory Coast international, who only joined the Hammers in the summer of 2019, has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Amsterdam side after a fee was agreed. It is understood the two clubs have agreed on a move worth €22.5million (£20.35m) and Haller completed his medical on Thursday, with the final details agreed on Friday morning.

West Ham paid Eintracht Frankfurt £45million just 18 months ago for the striker, yet he has failed to settle in the Premier League and is firmly behind former winger Michail Antonio in the pecking order.

The move to Ajax is the biggest deal in Netherlands football history and it reunites Haller with his former Utrecht manager Erik Ten Hag. The current Ajax boss knew how to get the best out of Haller during his two years in Utrecht, who scored 30 goals in 65 appearances.

I didn't know he played for Ivory Coast, I thought he was French (he was born there, so imo he should be French). But I remember him being way too good for Utrecht, can't say I've seen much of him since.

He is French and also Ivorian. There were 80 players born in France last African cup, 50 during world cup (including 21 from the French team).

All Ivorians choose Ivory Coast though, would have loved Drogba with France, maybe if he had not been a late bloomer. Haller is a bit different because only his mother is Ivorian.

Even Deschamps got this mixed up once when he told he was supervising Koulibaly from Napoli but Koulibaly had already played for Sénégal.

There is so much drama about those players no matter which country they choose to represent, according to some they're not truely French as migrants' son or not truely "insert whatever African nationality" because they were born in France.

France also tried to snatch Hazard as he was eligible for the French nationality because he came quite young in a French academy, he declined. Portugal is also scouting French talents quite heavily those last years (Paris is the third town with the most Portuguese in the world, only behind Porto and Lisbonne), they snatched Guerreiro and Lopes from us, would have picked both for the NT.
