Then again winning a world cup may have made Dechamps intouchable. Any idea if Dechamps has commented anything of his plans? It may be the situation where he reads the room and hands the project over to Zidane himself, it seems like a very suitable moment for that.

Looks to me like he'll do Katar and based on the results he will continue or not. If they wanted a change before Katar, they would need to make a decision fast. Next international games are like 7 weeks away (WC quali)

I don't think Netherlands has announced anyone to replace De Boer yet. Without any better idea, maybe that's at least some kind of indication on the schedule of managerial changes if they're bound to happen.

There is some interesting writing going about regarding Olympics and how they've become more problematic than what they're worth, reminds me of some of the conversations regarding Fifa World Cups. In essence both of these events are so large that only a handful of countries can organise them and they tend to become huge vanity projects where money is wasted on infrastructure that isn't used afterwards. Plus both the IOC and Fifa have had and likely will have their issues with corruption and events in countries that trample human rights etc. It's crazy to think, but maybe Olympics (and the world cup, too) as we know it have come to their end and they will be discontinued in our lifetime.

Olympics have had that problem for quite some time now that they need to stop getting bigger. I dont think WC would have problems being hosted in almost every European country. Infrastructure is already there

Atlanta United FC’s decision Sunday to fire Gabriel Heinze just 13 games into the Argentine coach’s first MLS season was certainly shocking to many around the league. But inside the club itself, the change wasn’t surprising — at least not to multiple club sources who spoke anonymously to FOX Sports about how the former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender’s hard-driving style had alienated his roster since his introduction in December. Things had gotten so bad that the MLS Players Association filed a grievance with the league on behalf of Atlanta’s players, who cited numerous violations of the collective bargaining agreement, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported shortly after news of Heinze’s dismissal broke. Heinze’s staff limited the amount of water players could drink during preseason practices, to the point that the club’s doctors were forced to intervene, according to sources. Heinze refused to grant players their guaranteed days off and demanded they always be available to answer their phones or report to the training facility at a moment’s notice. "The tactics and soccer side are one thing, but there was so much going on off the field that players were mentally drained on a daily basis," one source inside the club said. Source

It may be the situation where he reads the room and hands the project over to Zidane himself, it seems like a very suitable moment for that. Remove Deschamps and France have less world cups than England and you can proabably remove our sole CL victory ever as well. Swap Löw for your average CL winning German coach (yeah there are tons of them) to add a line to the German palmares. France has no decent coaches, Deschamps and Zidane are 100% Italians. Also our FA is probably the average corrupted head of football politician. The only reason Deschamps coaches the French team is because he's too stubborn to work with the board of the top clubs and the FA agreed to let him rule all the pitch related issues, otherwise he would coach a top European club. Nevertheless I'm anticipating Zidane's turn, but I still believe Deschamps is our best chance to win Qatar 2022 (which I won't watch, trying to motivate myself, it will be hard, especially in the later stages, but we have to boycott this shitshow).
