Everyone I know in Spain is loving the new format, the upsets, the illusion for smaller teams, etc. And nobody cared about the two leg Copa anyway. Zidane changed too many players. They need solid defensive players (Courtois, Mendy, Casemiro, etc). I like the change, but then I’m used to the format of the FA Cup so there is that. Too many boring second legs and needing the big boys to have 2 off days for an upset to occur. 1/2 changing of cup formats hit rate from the Spanish FA for me, the Super Cup is horrible, although that’s especially pronounced by the whole Saudi Arabia thing,

But I do agree that if it were to happen, ManC would have all the cards: they have the money to pay him what he would want, and he gets on great with Pep.

Would be daft for him to come to the toughest league in the world at 33 against the big tough premier league defenders who would be so physical with him week in and week out. He’s Lionel Messi though. His record against English teams isn’t too bad either

But even if that is correct, he will be 33 in the summer...pretty crazy to join that kinda league at that age regardless of the money on the table. He clearly has an ego like Ronaldo, he would have no control at City like he does at Barca and would be open to the crazy British press attacking him every week if he didn't score.
