totally agree; guess Mclaren got too excited at the prospect of being on pole
And yet again, wet conditions proves to us who the better drivers are. Max and Hamilton does well as usual, no surprises there, Norris acing it until the rather unfortunate crash in a session that should have been red flagged, and George fucking chucking it into P2! I can't wait to see what the future has in store for these two. Absolutely amazing performance!

Where; can you provide a link to article please; is Mercedes going to announce this post race or this week? I mean it’s pretty clear Russell gonna fill that seat right

Well, by 'several' I assume you mean Norris and Vettel, as the only 2 drivers who was out on the track. But yes, it was stupid, but I can also somewhat see Masi's side. Every time there's a drop of rain the race is red flagged, and that's frustrating for fans who wants to watch wet racing as well. The issue is that the window between where the wet tires are actually better than inters, and the track being too wet to race on, is absolute minute. I don't remember the last time a session was held on the actual wet compound. So I feel for Masi for trying to extend it and make an actual interesting session out of it. Unfortunately, especially at Spa, it was simply too much
Edit: Ah, should have watched the video. I was wrong. The live coverage didn't show any of the other cars, other than a few still in the garage, leading me to believe that only Norris and Vettel was on the track
This is a perfect time to share my idea I ve had for years: one day, hopefully, on the caledender there will be an F1 track that is completely indoors (still with large runaways;

Imagine that, for a second, if you please
What’s the benefit there? Just avoiding wet races or would there be other interesting aspects to it?
While we’re at it an artificial wet race would be pretty nifty too.
If the race is to start (which is not looking likely since they've already burned almost 2 of the 3 hour window), Perez can start from the pitlane. Apparently there's a rule in the rulebook that prevents him from starting on the grid if he can't get there on his own power, but there isn't such a rule for pitlane starts, especially since the race hadn't technically started yet. So Red Bull has patched up his car and have it ready to go should the race actually start.
I'm skeptical it will start though. They showed some of the onboards and, even at low speeds, cars were aquaplaning while the drivers were driving blind through much of the track. The radar also shows this current system hanging around for quite a while still. A bunch of fans already have left.
edit: I guess they just said that 3 hour rule is now not a thing and they've stopped the clock???? They overruled the 3 hour start window to stop the clock at 5pm local time.

the main feature would be bringing the sound to live TV (very different if you are in a grandstand, you can never really understand from tv); think of monaco tunnel, and you are somewhere near the truth.
The second aspect is completely new conditions bring out new things; a lot of new things will happen, because its a completely new scenario;
bottom line it would be a way to progress one race to be different, such as the first night race that took plce; the rest is history;
and with the Bilions that F1 spends each year, it should not seem impossible to archieve (even finding solutions to where and how grandstand will work)
artificial wet race under controlled drivable conditions would be a new thing too. Liberty Media have shown that they are not shy to new things. so lets see

it' s basically a free for all, rules out the window, everyone having coffee, ricciardo interacting with fans, and hot buns being warmed in the oven

Yeah I’d personally be in favour.
I mean in the recent past F1 has expanded to a lot of new tracks that are very samey ultimately.
Some experimentation that requires really different responses by teams and may shake things up that way I’m all for.
