i mean if we are talking about someone not keeping their seat next year, Giovinazzi and Mazepin comes to mind;
I don't necessarily agree with all of these ratings btw, they're subjective after all, but he's on point when it comes to Tsunoda. Ok in race trim, bad in qualifying, crashes a lot. May be slightly unfair considering his teammate have been just smashing it lately
Mazepin is new levels of horrible lows and should never be in F2 let alone F1. But if you haven't realized it yet, his dad is the main sponsor of Haas, and is set to outright buy the entire team either next year or the one after. Mazepin isn't going anywhere... just like his racing style. He's basically Stroll without a shred of the talent.
Gio could be seen swapped out next year indeed. He has not done well this year.. or any year imo, but this one has been especially poor. Yeah, the car is shit, but he's not exactly driving the wheels off of it, and his results when compared to Kimi are.. not great
He's going to have to break some laws of physics if he's going to leave any mark with that car which isn't on the wall at the bottom of Eau Rouge
Beating Mazipen is the only thing he can do if all cars finish the race , which is also the reason I cannot judge if he is going to be a future star or not , even his shunts , which are of course his fault , might not happen if the car was easier to drive and more "on rails" , for some reason I think he is not as quick as the rest of the grid , looking at Lecrec first year , he was FAST , not to mention his second.

Cant wait for the weekend race , been too long !!
No surprises there. Mick has always spent 2 seasons in any series before he gets good. But he has usually done well in all his second seasons, which gives hope for the future. But he's not George Russell, Leclerc or even Norris levels of fast right of the bat
Red Bull signed Perez again. I'm not surprised though I get the feeling that they could be losing Gasly after next year if they don't give him a Red Bull seat soon.
There was yet another big crash at Eau Rouge and Raidillon in the W Series qualifying today. Luckily nobody was injured by the sounds of things but it involved 6 cars. Something needs to be done with that corner before someone else dies.
edit: Apparently the RaceFans tweet I saw about people not being injured might not be accurate? At the very least, two drivers are at the hospital right now for further checks.
Definitely excited for Michael Masi to be asked about the safety of the corner so he can dismiss the issue again. I swear it's gonna take an F1 driver dying for that guy to ever do something about safety concerns.
The Alpha Tauri is actually quite a quick car. If RB reallocates more budget to AT with the cost cap, it's quite possible that AT will be competitive with RB, even more so than it is now.
The crash was pretty bad, especially the final impact:
For that corner, I wouldn't be against a special siren or other warning system in addition to flags, because the crashes at the top are blind to anyone at the bottom.

Oh fuck me that final impact immediately trigger my "this is serious" vibes. Thank god he got out of the car, but he did not look like he was having a good time
The combo of a blind hill plus tarmac runoffs that don't force drivers to slow down plus crash barriers that are angled such that they deflect cars back onto the track is something that shouldn't be around anymore. Take away any one of those three things and the corner becomes a lot safer, but having all three at once is too much.
It's a really good look for drivers to be radioing in that it's dangerously wet, Masi ignores it, then a driver crashes heavily. Great job F1.
That crash was also the perfect example of why that corner needs to be changed. Norris hit the wall and it deflected him directly back onto the track over the hill so nobody would have seen him. If this was during the race it could have been a tragedy.

He will start P10, unless penalties, if he starts due to his wrist;
Magical George, allready out qualifying his future team mate in a Williams; must burn, Hamilton did not even answer about George during the post quali interview
I noticed after George got out of his car that a bunch of drivers came up and congratulated him but Hamilton just quickly fist-bumped him and didn't say a word. Hamilton must know that it's not gonna be easy for him after this year.
Even Christian Horner seemed amazed at Russell's lap.
edit: Toto Wolff struggling not to admit that they already signed Russell in the post-quali interview (which has been the rumour all weekend). He was stumbling a lot talking about next year. He cut himself off mid-sentence after he was about to say what sounded like something along the lines of "yeah, this confirms our..." but then cut back in with " what we already know about him".
I don’ t think Russell will take any shit from Hamilton either, doesn’ t seem like a wingman to me; I’ d be surprised if tomorrow he helped Hamilton in any way; that will send a message, and mercedes seem to be gearing up to letting Hamilton go in the not near future, so having a George as a new lead driver would be ideal for them; It would have been great to see Russell and Norris as team mates next year at McLaren, but that will never happen of course
Gutted for Norris , but the team should 100% not send him out first as he was prime to take pole , send Daniel first if you must to "scout" out a fast lap for the team , or just wait for other teams to do it for you , it looked like mistake on his side but the conditions were SO BAD that any small error runs you into the barriers , also mega lap from Max , per usual this season , Russell has been bad at starts all season and vs a merc with great traction off the line i see Lewis breezing by and even challenging Max on T1 - this assuming dry track , in the wet .... anything goes.
