Well you should start believing it then. Every player in ManUtd is overpriced, that's how their squad worth is still the highest. I said it when Moyes took over that the squad sucks and I will stay say it. You can put up any manager you want at the helm and get the same results.

It happens quite often, manager methods stop working as well as before because changes in the way of play and lack of adaptation. Top manager change a lot from a decade to other.

Sven, Capello, Del Bosque and LVG all declined as managers

This happened to Felix Magath for example. He used to be a real good coach. But the situation in Manchester is not only mous fault obviously. After SAF left they don't have a system anymore. You need to establish some kind of system and buy players which fit into the roles. Manu is just buying some talented players and then they don't fit into the system, or the new coach doesn't like them etc. How many players did Manu buy for big money and now the don't even play? Most recent example would be Mhkytaryan. And now those players look like shit, but I don't believe they are. Instead of changing that, they just buy the next hyped player.

Not much quality on display in the North London Derby. Janssen runs like he's wearing a weighted vest...troubling.

Yeah beautiful technique, beautiful. It's ok though Bob Bradley can't do anything until he signs the 35 year old free transfer Dimitar Berbatov.

The 25,000th Premier League goal. And it's scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Manchester United.
Not bad, 1990 premier league started.

stuff takes time. moyes was an obvious failure, he wasn't big enough for the job. LVG was always an interrim manager, just supposed to get the team back on track. mou is given the job of building a new team, and that takes time. liverpool was horribly inconsistent during klopp's first season, but now the team has gelled and players are more familiar with their tasks.
Fergie's united at the point of departure didn't have good enough players to excel without excellent managing, and that takes some time to develop, no matter how good the manager is. It does however seem plausible to me that Mourinho is the type of manager who might actually permanently decline. Success giving the confidence to achieve more success is a valid principle in general, and when we're dealing with someone with Mourinho's personal qualities, it is greatly enhanced. His managerial style demands complete loyalty from his players - complete loyalty is much easier to achieve when you have a history of success. Furthermore, when his teams are winning, his antics are charming. When they lose, he comes off as petulant.
I don't think one failed season at Chelsea proves anything, nor does a poor start at united. He can afford to be inconsistent this season, but there has to be a sense of progress and some seasonal highlights, showcasing that their top level is world class, and that they are better at the end of the season than at the beginning, for the players and the supporters and the apparatus to gain the confidence in his project required for the project to achieve success.

im pretty convinced that rooney has completely forgotten how to play football any sequence of passes that has rooney as the central figure takes the ball sideways or backwards. its actually amazing

That is the reason you player Rooney as a striker, or just behind a striker at max. That is it, he can still score sometimes xD just dont waste him in midfield when he can't pass ball properly at the moment.

Absolute treat to watch. Score for fun, sure they let in a few but this is how football is meant to be played if you want to entertain ...

I think people judge too quickly sometimes.. imo this United team is much better than last year, creating lots more chances and playing better attacking football in general. Sometimes you just need a bit of luck.

Van Gaal is a special case. He was incredible successful in the 90s. Then he declined after the 2000 (He failed hardcore with Dutch National team and his second term in Barcelona was a big failure). He declined so much that he finished in a recently promoted team to the Eredivicie. When Van Gaal arrived to AZ most people commented that he was finished as a top coach. Then he was successful with AZ, Bayern and Dutch NT, but this revival after going to AZ was a surprise.
