Im sure many clubs are thankful they have Chelsea youth prospects playing for there clubs now etc. But of course we have not produced a mega star...yet that is for true, not since JT of course. I think the comment people are making is that its not producing talent, its buying talent. Amateur teen or mid teen talent that has been identified elsewhere purchased or contracted to the Chelsea Academy and then is being used to win or do well in that level of youth tournaments so that you can say how amazing your Academy is and then we never hear of that talent again or at the very least not regulars in the first team. Kinda like how Chelsea operates everywhere tbh. Other clubs do it to. But a very huge chunk of their acadamies is homegrown in the very truest sense of the word and alot of them do make it to top tier at that same club in some capacity. At the very least if you dont even manage to get one academy player in your first team then your academy is not doing its job or the management doesnt trust it enough. Either way its a waste. Which is why the comment below is most apt. But ofcourse your ego got bruised so you are busy defending an academy that effectively does nothing for the club at large. As it is now. Point is we have a bunch of good youngsters there, evident from their dominance at that level. But what's the point of all that if you're never gonna give them the chance to be a superstar. This is at least honest.

Our kid team who won the FA Youth cup and league are all from the UK minus 2 who one is from Poland and the other Ajax academy. We don't sign kids to promote them that way we do produce them and play them at that level. Then they go on the loan journey until Emanalo says they are ready which in his view is around the age of 23. Our first team last season consisted of Chalobah/Loftus-Cheek/Ola-Aina all of which have been at the club since the start of there careers (below 10) in the academy winning youth titles. I never said our system was right but the academy itself aint shit, it has success at the level it should have and gets recognized with that, thus we can attract these kids from Ajax/Rest of the world to come over and be affiliated with the club. They then get to go travel Europe on our loan system :D how exciting

Bayern Munich have seemingly ruled out a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, leaving Manchester City unrivalled in the race to sign the player, understood to be for around £50m. The Bundesliga champions have been heavily linked with a move for the Chilean, with Arturo Vidal even admitting he had been trying to persuade Sanchez to move the Munich while the pair were on international duty together. But Club president Uli Hoeness has claimed the club must focus on building around youth rather than experience, thus ruling out the signing of 28-year-old Sanchez, who only has 12 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates. They rested their whole A-team. Tons of people who theoretically could still play for the national team (Lahm, Schweini, Poldi,...) retired. They divided the young players into two full tournament squads AND they reached the final with (most likely) both teams?

Their backline has been rather poor in both tournaments, that's the silver lining for the rest of the world. Just have to get through that midfield and not take too many goals.

I imagine it will look stronger in the A-team with Hummels and Boateng playing. The other guys still need time to grow while those 2 are world class already (when in form) and still have a few years in them.
