However for the last 2-3 seasons it always been, ok this is the time City and Yanited bounce back and become contenders. When and IF that happens, it could be quite good fun in the premiership, but until then it always going to be to be a two horse race.

Even then it was always a three point gap or a game in hand and the challenger was a team that has been known to choke every single year and shockingly they did again this year. Good news there tho: The FA has extended its powers to punish simulation retrospectively. A new offence of ‘Successful Deception of a Match Official’ will be in force from the start of the 2017-18 season, after the regulation change was approved by The FA Council today [18 May] and following a period of consultation with stakeholders over the past few months. http://www.thefa.com/home/news/2017/may/18/fa-to-punish-simulation-retrospectively-180517

After a quality attempt to throw and a last second game winning goal you are rewarded with the opportunity to have your hopes quashed in even more dramatic fashion in Wembley in 10 days! e: LOL opponent will be Blackpool with another last second winner. Goalline clearance deflects into own net from back of the goalie. Both ties end 6-5

(West Country accents at the ready) Ew R We R X E Ter! I like Carlise managers Keith Curle's comments about walking into the City changing room congratulating Tisdale and just wanting to hear what success sounded like to motivate himself and hopefully his players. Exeter have been great on the road this year. So Wembley should be no problem. Might be a bit embarrassing how empty are half of the stadium is. We aren't a big club. I'd definately go if I was in England right now. To be honest we have been promoted before and only lasted two seasons in League 1 Though we did smash Sheffield Wednesday 5-1 at home and sub are manager on the pitch to waste time at Hillsborough in the 2:1 reverse fixture. The bottom of League 1 top of League 2 is about where are club can expect to be in terms of finance and attendance figures and realsitically since we got back into the football league the club has been a good example of stability and how to run a small football club. Blackpool have not. Only a small club but a lot to be proud of we are fan owned which is pretty rare in England and have back are manager for longer than any other club in English football except Arsenal. He gets almost as much shit as Wegner and I have no idea why. After 10 games we were in the relegation zone this season social media was full of hate and idiots yelling he had to go and we end up in the play off final. How silent those voices have fallen now. He's done a great job. Exeter's academy is a beacon in South West after Torquay shut thiers and I've never even heard of a player that's come through the Plymouth academy, do they have one? (they have automatic promotion, so it would be great to go up with them and continue the West Country derby one step Higher up the Football League. Thank you Stealth for pointing out that the USA is bigger than England. I consider myself educated. DO people make away trips for US soccer and even other sports in genral? If you want a proper away trip you have to go to the Russian second tier where Kallingrad have to travel not only to Vladivostock but Khabarovsk too. Although it's probablly worse to be Khabarovsk or Vladivostock as every away game is fucking halfway around the planet. edit: Did I mention that the Brazilian National team played it's first ever match against Exeter City. Europeans never have a right to complain about distance traveled for (national) away games. But yeah, I attended Avaí - Ponte Preto, and there were not alot of Avaí fans in the crowd (basically only people who had moved from Florianopolis to the SP region. Nobody traveled the 800km on a weekday evening to watch that). It also plays up local rivalries far more. The rivalry between Palmeiras and Corinthians is FAR greater than that between any non-local teams (same for Fla-Flu, and Inter - Gremio, although Inter failed hopelessly and is currently in the second division they still meet in the regional league).

Full incident on youtube + Show Spoiler + That wasn't smooth at all, theres a two minute injury break before the referee walks off to look at the video and then another minute until hes looked at video and made his decision. That took way too long and I'm not sure i like the decision itself either.
