I would not mind seeing the video to rule out offside goals next season and wait more testing in lower divisions before implementing it further at the very top.

Obv. it won't be perfect unless they do start doing it every game every week. Also since the play was stopped anyway, where is the difference between 2 or 4 minutes? Also correct decision, really like the VAR so far. Incident: 74:00 break in play/treatment starts: 74:10 play ready to resume/ref starts talking to VAR: 75:20 VAR signal: 76:00 red card: 77:00 The referee taking a minute or 90 secs to look at video no problem, but first taking over a minute while nothing happens before the VARs contact the referee and then taking another 45 seconds where he could have walked over and started looking is too long and needs to be shortened/smoothed out.

Why does the main ref even has to see the video? Imo he should just follow the video ref decision.

In England the discussion at the moment is that the referee asociation wants the final say always to be with the referee. VAR for me should only be there to say "hey ref come check this out" and go from there. For me the VAR should have said come check this out ref whilst the player was getting treatment, but hey it's early days right.

Because some situations are a judgment call and you want them to be consistent over the course of the whole game, on some calls teh referee himself needs to decide how bad a foul/incident is. It is annoying but probably necessary.

I would have been most happy with Augsburg but let's be honest... we would be the underdogs against any of the three possible opponents. Every of the 3 possible matchups would have been attractive in their own way tho HSV: Would be attractive just to shut them up ![]() ![]() Augsburg: Just because I think we have the best chances against them out of the three. Wolfsburg: 25km. Nachbarschaftsduell. Derby without the heat. Nuff said. It's Vatertag so we can atleast start at the half and do a Bollerwagentour ![]() It's in our own hands. If we play like against Bielefeld we're gonna lose. If we play like we did against Union I think we can be pretty equal. Especially if Wolfsburg moral is shattered. I don't think we're gonna win but I hope that in our Jubiläumssaison our players will show us some fight and spirit. Maybe we can pull a HSV and go thru on 2 draws. Edit: It's gonna be interesting to see how many people are gonna be there in Braunschweig colors. Roughly a 1/3 of the attendees in Wolfsburg are usually Braunschweig fans/people from Braunschweig who want to see 1st League football.

We had fun on that car drive :D (until Hamburg scored. We are fucking pissed. They never learn. And just like in Karlsruhe they are once again celebrating as if they just won the Bundesliga. So obnoxious. Prediction for the next season: They are gonna fire Gisdol after like 8 matches. Is Labbadia currently free? Or Slomka?
