ummm no, I'd say he gets it for the same reasons Messi has for the past few others. His team won alot and he scored alot of goals Thats basically the benchmark they use so going by that its pretty set. | ||

First half was so great, but ref absolutely ruined it by literally giving a yellow card for every minor foul. That eventually lead to Veltman's second yellow which pretty much killed the game after 70 minutes. Also, apparently (and I missed it) there was a handball in the box by Alba which should've been a penalty in the first half. They created zero chances, but our player gets hit in the head, referee doesn't stop play which he should given that it was a head injury, and Barça score in a 11vs10 situation with a clumsy goal. Veltman also got his first yellow because play wasn't stopped during the injury. And I thought Proenca was a good ref  . And please Frank, drop Sightorsson already and put Milik in. Serero was absolutely class today.Such a missed opportunity, we were arguably better than Barça today but they still win it. The front 3 were pretty much invisible except for the last 20 minutes in the 11vs10. Ricochet the ball and give a yellow card for the necessary foul afterwards? Show some coulance retarded ref.
