One day I should go to Berlin for a match. I'm absolutely not sold on track & field stadiums for modern football. The spectators are so far away it just seems wrong.
But that may just be unfounded thoughts.

Not really. Bottom teams are campions of their country, while top teams have finished 2nd-4th. I think it's a good thing to make sure a few champions from weaker leagues make the champions league.

You are right, the atmosphere is not as good as in a modern football stadium.
But the atmosphere is still absolutely amazing. I have already been there for a Cup Final and that was an unforgettable experience, not to be compared with normal league games.

again our name is Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting CP) not Sporting Lisbon we are a club for all country not just lisbon like Benfica :p

Nearly every other club in the world refers to its City of origin, so i guess its a matter of avoiding a misunderstanding. Take an exampel from another club. Like, Arsenal England or Real Espana, F.C. Catalunya or F.C. Bayen Deutschland all sound weird, right?
My guess is the one stated above, just avoiding misunderstandings :D

Celtic can get walkower for second game because Legia fielded suspended player Bartosz Bereszyński, because they didn't register him for previous round, and they weren't aware that games that player isn't registered doesn't count for suspension.
