Offside rules were much better when all passes with a player caught on it were called. Now, it's a nonsense-fest; one guy is offside, he doesn't move, lets the ball go, but the whole defensive line is disoriented and the attacking team actually gains just that little bit of time to create a goalscoring chance. What's the point of ever setting up the offside trap when it's impossible to predict whether the guy who was supposed to recieve the pass will pick the ball up or leave it to go for someone else?

Blew 2 goal lead in Moscow, lost to West Ham, lost to Newcastle, then they beat Man United but it's only because Smalling got a moronic red card and MU had so many injuries, they played a winger, two 18-years old and Michael Carrick as their backline. Stats show that players like Zabaleta, Toure, Navas and Dzeko all severly declined compared to last season. The only one who got better is actually Milner but he isn't exactly the one who can single-handedly win you games.
