Funny how majority of football countries didnt vote for Messi. He should've been like 12-13th place instead 2nd. This show how fucked up FIFA is.
He keep getting votes from countries like Belize, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Philippines, Palestine , Panama, Myanmar, Macau etc. I dont even know if they have football league there lol.

Haha yeah good point. Maybe he got the match fixing vote !

So who won instead of Simeone?
Didn't even bother watching because CR was obvious. More deserved than last year for sure, but that is not saying much after that joke xD

For starters, way to be a dick pretending like these countries dont matter. There are fans everywhere and probably fans in these places who appreciate and football better than alot of us here.
Secondly I think alot of the way the voting works its sorta setup to not look like the guy who won smashed everyone to pieces and then the difference is made up of some genuine voters.
I dont think there is much wrong with that top 3.
How exactly would Messi be in as you say it 12th or 13th place, if you excluded these "non football" countries ?
I can assure you it would be a similar breakdown.

These votes are just from the FAs and captains of national teams. 90% of the vote is from public no?

This whole Ballon Dor is a bad joke. Sure Ronaldo winning the award is not undeserved but I think Neuer deserved it just as much and it wouldve been nice to see someone else winning it but well, I guess thats just not going to happen for the next 5 years.
Much worse for me is the world XI. I mean really? When Spain wins the World Cup it features 9 players from spain and we only get 3? What the fuck is Iniesta doing in there? Just because they thought the needed more Barca players? What about Schweinsteiger? And Thiago silver and David Luiz really? They both play in a lesser league and are not even doing as good as they should at the moment. Brazil didnt play well at the world cup and david luiz was on the pitch when they conceded 7 goals against us and played a big part in it too. How does this qualify you for world XI? What about Boateng? That guy is a beast he was the best CB in the world for me this year.

These votes are from captains and coaches. Okay 12th or 13th place was little unrealistic but my point still stands on. Messi didnt deserve to be there yet alone 2nd place. He should be thankful to countries like GueteMala and Mauritania.

None of them know football as good as Hiddink, Deschamps or other great managers.

Ah finally that's over with, I can't stand all the pointless discussions about who is the "best" player.

Seriusly Luiz over Boateng? Yea... no.

Ballon is about form, that's why cristiano won it. The best player is messi though, no one argues that.

You're first picture is all euro nations + *2* SA nations that did not vote for messi - just a little bit biased to suit your own viewpoint isn't it
and then you get to the top 30 footballing nations, and then you show messi gets 4th place; that is not so far off from "being there at all" which apparently he doesn't deserve to be at all...
Sure some smaller countries vote as fans, but I don't think you can make the argument that a lot of the people you claim to be experts are impartial. can we look at roy hodgson's vote?
as if "best footballer" were even something that can be empirically determined...
