I am really against all sorts of gossip and shit like this but this one could actually be true since it was really sudden that he left. Alonso is taking legal action, so it's unlikely that it's true. Our team plays a lot better without him...the problem yesterday was that we played like if he was there and treated Nani like the new Ronaldo. Clearly the wrong move. We can play poorly with him (giving every ball to Ronaldo with players being scared of being kicked of the team if their first decision is not to look for Ronaldo and pass him the ball) but at least by having 99% of our team's ball he usually produces one or 2 chances a game and we go by that way. Doing the same shit with Nani is clearly not the same...I like Nani but he is not in that great shape anymore, and even then, this would be ludicrous. It was well deserved. When we try to play as a proper team we actually do better (hence a few years ago the notion that we would win more games without Ronaldo than with him on the pitch...we have/had good players but giving him every ball makes the job very easy for the opposition or, in this case, giving every ball to Nani makes even Albania look like a team who can defend very well). Hmm I see. Never a good thing to have a player who thinks he is bigger than the team and the team to play like it. That said doing it with Nani sounds baffling, he shouldn't command that kind of presence.

His career as a coach doesn't show any noteworthy achievements. A few weeks ago I read that he said "after the wc you get a bonus for being german" so the hopes are probably too high.

But from what I understood around World Cups, the hopes were always to high, no matter the coach.

Paciência, André Silva and Adrien to play on the first team (Adrien is older but is still absent from the national team for no good reason). Bernardo Silva, André Silva, G. Paciência don't even play in their own teams. I don't think there are currently players not in the NT that could somehow fix the situation. We're going to suck for a while and we just need to hope we qualify for the Euro and that by 2016 the players you mentioned plus Ruben Neves, Marcos Lopes, Bruma step up.

Alaba scored a penalty after the ball struck Larsson's arm. Zengin then equalised with a tasty volley. Zengin just rocketed a shot off the bar. Austria dominating the game. Alaba being left completely open too often. Hoping for a better second half.

He was scoring goals but outside of box he was playing like shit, he was big part that Manchester looked like team with negative creativity.
