Seriously, this can't just be a coincidence. Dortmund has easily suffered the worst injury crisis in any professional sports team I've ever seen since the start of last season. What the fuck is going on?

UEFA really messed up this qualification process. FIFA last season changed theirs to help out domestic leagues, where you play Friday and then Tuesday meaning Weds everyone travelled back to their clubs. UEFA i thought were doing the same thing but apparently not. Sunday Monday and Tuesday is being used for qualification, 3 groups a night. Seems a bit of a waste really, its not like people are that caught up on watching other countries play in these games. It is different when it is the actual competition but the qualification process rarely draws out good games. I just don't get why 3 groups each night for 3 days in a row is any use. Could all play one day aka monday and send them back to their clubs.

Maybe it is due to only being one match day this time, but in October there is two so i guess we shall see what happens there.

Just my random thoughts this morning :D

Major issue for last 2 decades for Portugal is they have no guy to put the ball into the net.
Midfield 3 of Gomes - Carvalho - Moutinho is actually the best midfield 3 i seen from Portugal in a while. It's just again the striker is a pile of shite, Pepe needs replacing too and then you have a decent team.

Reason why Ronaldo cannot play the way you think is because he is played LW or whatever and that position is needed to track back. Why like Brazil, don't play Ronaldo as striker (Or in Brazil case Hulk striker) is beyond me. Then you can actually have more midfielders who track back into the team.

Portugal seems to be an easy fix in their national team from the outside, but like 3 managers in a row have failed pretty hardcore with them. Maybe they are just giving up until Mourinho becomes available in 8-10 years time? Even then i think he will choose to manage England over Portugal

You cant change his holiness' position. He will cry and you WILL get fired. Simple as that.

Lol. surely he would prefer to play as striker where he can literally stand still and watch the defenders defend instead of walking back to "try and help" ?
But yeah need to fix things asap in the striker department if that is the case xD

Nope he has publicly stated that he does not want to play as a striker. Our manager tried that once, he talked to the press and after that something like "well after talking to Ronaldo and based on our own evaluations we rather have him play in his natural position on the wings" (yeah right).

Like someone said, our u21 team is good and if some of them grow into their potential maybe in a few years we can have a proper team.
