It's looking like this might happen haha.

That awkward moment the guy sitting on the practice squad all season is better than your first round pick.
And how the hell can Houston just plug anyone in at QB and find a way to win or be in the game. They could put Stephen Hawking back there and still be ok.

I'd say the odds are now higher than 50% that the Browns cut Manziel (and maybe sending Gordon away too) before next season. Wouldn't mind seeing Shaw get a chance next year, even if he begins by learning behind some veteran QB they bring in.
Really surprised to see the Chargers offense play so inept in such an important game. Chiefs obviously have something to say but still, expected more.
Ofc now they score. (um nevermind)

That seems a bit reactionary, don't you think?

They won't cut Johnny Football. They spent a first round pick on him. He'll have at least next year to prove himself.
|
Sure it is. However I'm not sure these last 5 weeks could have gone worse if you scripted it. Dude is coming off as a cancer who doesn't get it. There is quite literally zero redeeming qualities about him and absolutely zero evidence he can be a decent starter, let alone a franchise QB. Like Merril Hodge said, cut ship now before it can affect next season. The fact he is negatively affecting the team days after saying he would take his job seriously is like reason number 584 to not trust him with your team.
And damn, nice stop for the Chiefs.

Injuries were also brutal this year. Does the NFL have any kind of man games lost stat? Because the Niners definitely had to be high up on it. Vernon Davis should also be very high atop that list considering the role he plays in the offense, and the total lack of production he had Harbaugh is the play caller. Roman suggests 2 plays to harbaugh a run and pass, harbaugh can listen to that or call w.e he wants. There is a reason it takes them nearly 25 seconds every down to call plays.

I don't get why people draft promising/talented but raw qb's with bad mechanics, in the first round, sometimes trading up, and expect them to be ready to carry the franchise in 1-2 years. Same happened with Jamarcus Russel, Tebow, Blaine Gabbert, RG3...the only one that worked out ok has been Cam Newton.

I think it's unfair to categorize Russel in with the other guys. They at least tried. Russel had everything in his arsenal to be a successful QB but was just a lazy fuck.

Fair enough, but my point stands. It's just a dumb idea.

Geno Smith currently with a 158.3 passer rating right now. No, I did not mistype that.

Looks like Baltimore's in, they'll likely play at the Steelers vs. Bengals winner (unless the Broncos lose). Colts will be home vs. Steelers vs. Bengals loser.
San Diego might have been ripped on some non-PI calls though.

I turned the game off when they went up by 10, He's played lights out this game. Even when he's been under pressure. It was pretty sickening the first half but he's been really impressive playing for Rex Ryan.

Man I wish the AFC West got to feast on the NFC South.

Too bad. I was hoping for a 6-team tiebreaker if Baltimore lost and the Dolphins won. Not sure who would be the last wildcard if that happened.
edit: Looks like it might have been the Texans.

On the earlier topic, i guess the Browns will Brown. Pay them millions to "grow up" at the teams expense despite multiple chances (moreso Gordon).

Also, I'm not sure Cam had "bad" mechanics coming out of Auburn. He was/is pretty legit.
